I have the TC-35 upstairs and this thing amazes me every day. I got this amp from my neighbor who has been playing for a very long time. He told me the amp was very old so to not expect much from it, but I thought he was talking a few years, not 22! This thing has withstood the test of time and the only thing that affects it now is a little static on the change of volume. It has a great sound that i haven't found in many amps costing much more than this bugger. If you want a cheap amp with decent sound that will last don't look any further. You've found it.

Before I bought my first electric, I played on this amp many times at my friend's house. It is horrible. It sounds screechy all the time, and when you turn up the volume at all, it breaks up (and not in the good tube amp way). Maybe it was just that one, but I hated it. I've played on a lot of amps, from small practice amps to multiple thousand dollar fenders and marshalls and this is by far the worst. There are so many better amps in the same price range.

I have owned this amp for at least 5 or 6 years and before that my uncle owned for 3 and this amp still kicking powerful and strong!!! You will not find a better 20 watt amp. This amp isn't just powerful its loud!!!! and I mean LOUD!!!! i could crank it up to 5 or 6 and i would have to turn it down because my neighbors would call well not really just saying...... Trust me get this amp for practice or even gigs!!

Memories

By JL-7bySl

This amp was my first, as a 12 year old kid just receiving his first guitar many years ago. I remember the guitar I got was a Harmony. Tucked back in the shadows, under appreciated and overshadowed, was this old Gorilla amp. It lasted throughout the years, yet disappeared without a trace. I don't know where my trusty old Gorilla went, but I can clearly remember the mean fuzz it distorted to me, down to the very tone, and I miss it. Couldn't have gotten off to a better start...

this little amp has a huge sound

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This amp is discontinued. Buy the GG-20 C which is still being made. The GG-20C has incredible sound for a small practice amp. Well worth the $$$. The distortion if set correctly sounds great. Have to play with the knobs for a while to find the right sound. Buy it. I did.

good starter amp price wise but no drive button.

By Bamby

This is the amp I have. I would recommend this as an electro acoustic amp. Try a peavey or marshall.

This is a small little amp, but its tone is much better than any other amp that is in this price range. The speaker in this amp has good tone and doesn't bottom out like some little amps will. The tone is an overdriven tube and this amp acts a lot lot like a tube amp, it allows you to get natural distortion by just turning up the volume (or twisting the overdrive knob). Overall this amp is the perfect little practice amp for any begginer who wants tube tone without the price.

Go Go Gorilla!

I got this for free from my friend, it was abused and hiding in the coner of his room. I brought it home and at first it didnt work so I was going to take it apart and use it for parts , but then it came to life and began to scream. The Gorilla now plays an important role in my band (The Brown Christmas). We hook him up to our synth and put it on 'calliope' and it makes the worst, farting, screaching, most bastardized, ungodly sounds known to man, and we love every minute of it. The gorilla is like our very own adopted child.

my favorite amp

By Rebel Save

from Waianae, HAWAI`I

I've been playing guitar for 3 years and I have only owned a few amps. I have a Peavey Blazer, a fender 15 watt bass amp, this Gorilla amp, and currenly a Marshall Mg30DFX. Out of all these amps this one was really my favorite. The Marshall is awesome but I am seemed to be drawn more to the simplicity of the three knobs one this amp and sound great with a wah with the gain turned up for blues, but sadly mine stopped working one day because it was a hand-me-down and I am looking to get another one.

caught me off guard

By Double OI Punk

from plymouth, IN

I bought the gg-20r which is the same as this only with reverb. I bought it with a cheepo guitar thinking I could make a quick buck off of it and just fell in love with it. This by no means has tons of power to play with for gigs but is fantastic for laying down some tracks or just practicing in your home. I love how down and gritty this little monster can get. I Just wish it had a foot switch and an extra channel.
