This is probably the best reproduction of a Big Muff you can find. The controls are simple, with only a volume control and distortion control. The distortion on here is very fuzzy, though is sometimes harsh (don't expect to use this for a simple "overdrive" sound--this is pure fuzz). The fuzz can be warm and creamy or tinny and thrashy depending on your guitar and amp. It also works well for solos, giving pretty good sustain. I usually use it with the distortion knob at 12 o'clock and use my guitar's bridge humbucker for solos--the sound is creamy and doesn't muffle your picking style. Overall, a great pedal, well worth the money, and it's pretty conveniently small too!
This pedal is similar to the Muff fuzzes. With the distortion turned all the way up you get tons of gain, harmonics and feedback. This pedal is great for the price. I am using it with a Telecaster Custom with two humbuckers and a Epiphone Galaxie 10 tube amp. If you are looking for something with lots of sustain and squealing distortion for leads, this pink beauty will hit the spot.
