With Hartke's HyDrive Series 112 300W 1x12" Bass Speaker Cab, you get the best of both worlds: the warm tone of traditional paper cones and the clear, punchy attack of aluminum. HyDrive's patented Hybrid Cone Technology produces a speaker that uses an outside paper cone to push a warm, deep low frequency and an inner aluminum cone that produces mids and highs that cut while still remaining sweet. The result is a revolutionary improvement in bass speaker technology.

Hartke brings you the next bass cabinet in the HyDrive series: HyDrive 112. Suitable for any playing style, this unit is a specially tuned, ported bass cabinet whose key components include a single 12-inch, 300-watt HyDrive neodymium hybrid cone driver and a 1-inch titanium high frequency compression driver. Designed to accommodate any bass player, the speaker is engineered as a dual-impedance driver, allowing you to switch between 4 and 8-ohm impedances. The cabinet's handle, and steel grill provide a contemporary and stylish aesthetic to any stage or studio.

With these features, HyDrive 112 bridges the gap between small, quiet gigs and big, loud shows. And it only weighs 30 pounds!

For you bassists that specialize in entertaining the coffee house, HyDrive 112 (HX112) is your double shot latte. Not only is the HX112 ideal for small, quiet gigs based on its extremely portable, lightweight enclosure, but for the warm, solid bottom end tones that are never too boomy. Despite the hefty power handling that the cabinet possesses, HX112 remains attractive to performers due to the system's multi-level impedance feature. Instead of running your HX112 at maximum heat for the duration of your set in a low-key jazz lounge, you can conserve power by doubling the cabinet's impedance level. The addition of a second HX112 will provide you with your coveted full stack look and will surely provide you enough power to shake every stage on the world tour.     Just got it recently. I am loving how light it is. I can literally haul it with one hand. The sound is pretty good too. I was surprised by how much power it could deliver. I am not a huge fan of the Ampeg sound, I prefer the slightly lower end/boomy sound of Fender amps. This one is definitely closer to the Fender sound on the spectrum and it definitely can deliver the low notes with clarity. Open E sounds pretty awesome.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
