Couldn't figure out how to edit my previous review on my non working unit. The LH500 provides a great tone. The fender style tone stack provides precisely what you need to dial in a great tone. It contains no extra knobs for mindless fiddling. Volume, bass, mid and treble. What more do you need. They do add a brite switch (that could of been left off, but I suppose some people need more options) and also a limiter. The sound is great from deep reggae style tone to rock to a modern hi-fi style tone. The 500 watts is insanely loud through my 8-10 cabinet. This amp has everything you need and nothing you don't!

Product arrived in standard packaging with no outside rips, tears, etc on the box. However, when plugged in it did not function at all. Had to be sent back for an exchange.

Strong power output, simple front panel and controls, warm sound due to tube preamp, balanced DI output. This is definitely a pro unit, but two things to remember: 1) EQ settings are a bit weird 2-10-2 is actually "flat" rather than 5-5-5. 2) Limiter is not adjustable, but no biggee. Also, volume pot does most of it's actual work between 5 and 8. None are actually real problems, just "personality quirks" to be aware of. Otherwise, plug it into your favorite cab(s)-the nicer the better- and let 'er rip. No problems.
