This amp is great for beginners. this amp is great. i love the built in DI and the stereo RCA input. I love this Amp
After being stuck with a small 15-wattcombo amp, I finally started looking for a more powerful amp. I played through a friend's and was hooked. I am a Jazz bass user and this amp gives it a clear, authoritative tone. If you're looking for an amp that really rocks the stage, this is it.
I like the amp thus far EXCEPT that I've had two amps with a buzzing at particular frequencies. One was a floor model that I returned for a new amp out of the box, which developed a similar problem just weeks later. I am waiting for the diagnosis on the second amp.
The Ibanez SWX100 is definitly a good inexpensive powerful bass combo amp. The tone and clarity is just amazing. I play rock and blues and sometimes I need to thicken it up a little. The hue knob is a big plus for me. My active 5 string Ibanez Bass makes this a very easy amp to dial in. A pure perfect rig. In short if your a beginer or an aged rocker dont just walk by this amp give it a try. You wont be disappointed.
This is a great amp, I've had it for a few months now and I haven't had any problems, the speaker is strong, loud, and very clear, the effects on the bass work great, the lows make my chest shake it I have it loud, and the mids and highs come out clear as a bell. When you have the treble up high it gives you this real clear sound that sounds great for like chords, if you turn it down a little and turn the bass up a little then you have a great slap sound. The shape button helps eliminate any weird clicky sounds but I dont like to use it, the bright button helps boost highs, mids, and treble, and it gives the lows a cool effect, I also like to use this for chords and slaps. The tweeter is really powerful, I always have it on, it makes my highs come out better when the treble is up and the bright is on. I would suggest this to anyone.
