Say goodbye to unwanted noise and hello to your crystal clear tone..

ISP Technologies introduces the Decimator II™ G String noise reduction pedal, second generation of the Decimator™ Noise reduction.
The Decimator™ II G String Noise Reduction pedal was designed for those who want the ultimate performance from a noise reduction pedal. The G String Pedal tracks the signal directly from the guitar, which allows you to switch from clean to high gain without ever changing the threshold setting.

The new design allows connection of the processing channel of the Decimator™ to be inserted into your effects loop or after your high gain pedals or preamp. A 1/8 phone cord is used to engage the linking function which allows you to link two Decimators™ for two channels of noise reduction. You can also use one Decimator G String II and one Decimator II pedal to create a stereo setup. This connection allows both pedals to directly track the instrument providing the tracking performance of our professional Decimator ProRack G.

Features

  • The Decimator™ II G String has 4 ¼ inch jacks
  • Connect the guitar directly to the Guitar IN
  • Connect the Guitar OUT to the input of the amplifier

Comments about ISP Technologies Decimator G String II:

Great pedal. I have the original ISP Decimatorr as well as the Pro Rack G. This new version is great, same excellent threshold and works with my effects loop just fine.

Comments about ISP Technologies Decimator G String II:

I have tried all of the noise reduction/suppressor pedals out there and I can say this is the best of them all. It makes sense to connect the guitar straight into it so that is has a reference to it and know what is noise and what is not. It is pricey, but after you try everything else you will realize that quality, functionality and tone do carry a price.

Comments about ISP Technologies Decimator G String II:

So a while back I bought a used Decimator I. Worked quite well but I always noticed that some pedals, or pedal combination, would too much for the Decimator to handle as I always had to set the reduction knob way to high and it would just kill the tune of the guitar.

So I started doing research for a new noise reduction pedals. People suggested many but always spoke highly of the Decimator II String G. Given my experience with the first gen model I was kinda hesitant about buying it. Still it's quite an expensive pedal compared to the other noise pedals out on the market.

          Sound:
The pedal kills just about every noise you'll have without loosing any of the tone and sustain. I also have a Snarling Dog Whine-O-Wah that adds quite a bit of boost and this pedal keeps it in check. That is of course if your signal chain is set properly.

          Usability:
Now that's where some players might hit a wall. I have played with this pedal and I can tell you that when set wrong this pedal will not do the job you want.
The manual gives you a couple ways to set the signal flow. However, I discovered a different chain that works perfect for me.

          Guitar>Wah>Fat Fuzz Factory>Pedal Guitar In
Pedal Guitar Out>Boss SD1>MXR Custom 78'>EHX Pi Fuzz>Pedal Dec In
          Pedal Dec Out>Amp

I only use the clean channel on my amp and I don't use my FX Loop so I don't have it in my signal flow.

          Summation:
This pedal is worth every penny I paid for it. I cannot stress enough just how good this pedal is. If price is what keeping from buying this pedal then know the mistake you are making.

I'm using it with a Marshall JVM, the Boss NS-2 changed the tone a lot. This one does not.
