From Jet City comes the GuitarSlinger Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal, imposing punishing tone in a rugged, boutique-quality design. The pedal was designed by international guitar hero Alex Beyrodt and engineered in Germany. It was previously only available from GuitarSlinger Effects and built by hand, one at a time. Now Jet City carries on the tradition of dynamite tone, but brings it to you for a great price. The controls include Gain, Tone, Volume, and Bright Switch. This pedal is all-killer, no filler overdrive. Sending your guitar tone into the peaks of commanding overdrive power.

Overall I rate the Jet City Overdrive Pedal high. It''s better than the Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive, and others I own. I'm an overdrive junkie and own quite a few of them, i.e. Digitech X series Tonedriver, Snarling Dogs Black Dog, etc; and the Guitar Slinger Overdrive beats them all.
The separate features of the Jet City Overdrive are not many, but it just does what it is supposed to do very well. The toggle switch is like 2 ODs in one. However, the metal jack imputs, metal casing, and solid build are a plus.
The build quality of the Guitar Slinger Overdrive seems very sturdy. The quality of the build, but also the quality of its sound which is excellent. The slight POP when switching on and off is the design flaw.
The price tag on these is reasonable. There are higher priced pedals that do not sound as good.

This is a good sounding overdrive pedal, especially given the price. It does a nice job fattenning up a single-coil Telecaster. However, I have one big complaint - the footswitch. When engaged, the footswitch makes an extremely loud popping sound, basically rendering it un-usable in a recording situation. Even live, the popping sound is annoying and possibly damaing to your amp/speaker. I might replace the switch with something of higher quality, then it will be a great pedal.
The low cut feature is very nice, especially at this price point.
The footswitch has problems (see below).

after guitar center "shipped" me the pedal that was never in the box, I finally got one. i don't write reviews unless they are really terrible and to save others of wasting time or money on them but let me say....this pedal is AMAZING! I sold my TS9 and my Cool Cat drive because this pedal blows them out of the water! the drive is just enough crunch, not so much that it turns to distortion but not just a weak fuzz under you sound like so many other overdrives can be, and the controls are very active. just a smidge on your tone knob will really change your sound, and the added bright boost switch is great too. I played my 50s tele, 70s les paul, and my black top tele through it and each guitar keeps its own voice with this pedal. I would highly recommend it! With great sound, boutique pedal design and quality, and a very bright and shiny blue LED on/off switch, this pedal is a must have if you can't seem to find the right drive pedal!the only reason its a 4.5 on quality was because the button clicks a little bit audibly in my amp when I toggle it on/off. It mostly went away but i'm sure they can figure out a fix.

I bought this to go along with a Jet City JCA20H head, and this is really a good fit. This overdrive doesn't have the overwhelming mids that most do. It really leaves good high/low string clarity as you use it for blues, and if your pickups are a little muddy, the bright switch helps bring out the definition. When the JCA20H's gain is maxed it for a more metal tone, this really chunks up the distortion, and gives it that bite you are looking for in metal. Maybe not nu metal, but 80's to 90's metal. I must say, I'm impressed.
