Whether you need chimey tube breakup, germanium fuzz warmth or a treble boost for searing leads, the Muse Driver delivers.
Crafted by Overdrive Specialists for Optimal Tones
With decades of experience modifying iconic overdrives, Robert Keeley focused the Muse Driver on recreating Andy Timmons' favorite tones. Thoughtful clipping options, like asymmetrical LEDs and germanium diodes, provide textures ranging from vintage fuzz to modern high-gain crunch. Precision-crafted circuits and top-notch components give these vintage tones exceptional clarity and articulation. Just engaging the Muse Driver will make your amp or pedalboard sound bigger.
Germanium and LED Clipping Modes Customize Your Overdrive
The heart of the Muse Driver is its dual clipping modes. The LED mode recreates Andy's preferred asymmetrical clipping for articulate breakup with a bright attack—perfect for chordal rhythms. Switching to germanium diodes generates smoother fuzz-like saturation, ideal for singing leads. With a simple toggle switch, you can match the clipping voicing to your playing needs. And with up to 18V operation, the dynamic range stays wide open.
Shape Your Tone With the AT/RK Switch
Further tone shaping comes from the AT/RK switch. In the AT position, it tightens up the low end for precisely articulated rhythm playing where each note sings out clearly. Flipping to the RK setting brings in a signature mid-hump and boosted lows, adding body to clean tones or pushing vintage amps into smooth overdrive.
Dial in Bypass to Match Your Rig
Since buffering can help or hurt depending on your setup, the Muse Driver lets you choose. Its transparent buffer banishes noise during switching and makes your signal chain more robust. When true bypass is needed, just hold the footswitch. Now, you can always get the ideal switching for your rig's needs.
