this amp has a fantastic clean channel. but the dstortion ins't that great. you can get a good classic rock rhythm tone by turning the ditortion halway up, or more depending on taste. and for a lead tone turn it up about 3/4 of the way. the amps tone isn't that great, though. the effects really suck. the only way they work is if you turn up the effects knob all the way up, and then there is too much of the effect. this amp is alright for beginners and if you don't use the effects. i bought mine used, but it was basically just open box. no scratches or anything like that. but there was a really annoying buzzing noise whenever i'd play an A note, or something on the lower strings.

I bought this amp a few months ago and was seriously disappointed. The sound is dull and always sounds like there is a echo. When you set it up for a clean sound its cheap and hardly last 3 seconds then you hold the string down. Ive messed with all the settings and can't make any good noise from it. I bought a distortion pedal and an overdrive pedal and it still sounds low quality. At first I thought it was defective but now I know it just sucks. Don't buy!!

This thing gets PARKING LOT-loud!!!

By IMTHEPUNISHER

As my title states, this sucker WILL crank! However, you get a lot of nasty feedback at ridiculous volumes, when using an effects box etc. When I got mine, the pots were filthy and it made terrible scratching noises when trying to make minute adjustments to the volume etc. After taking it apart, and cleaning everything really good, it's been fine. The gain channel SUCKS. Period. But other than that, it gives real good tones. I have the optional footswitch for mine, which is the ONLY way to fly as far as the built-in effects go. I use a ZOOM efx processor with mine though, so I couldn't care less about the tone. I have to wear earplugs under my headphones when playing through the headphone jack. It's THAT powerful.

This amp rocks!

Ask me a question

This is a great little, yet powerful amp with dozens of features and a great value. I bought this amp after searching for many more expensive alternatives. With limited funds, everything I was searching for landed me into the $400 to $500 range, and the fifteen watters (15W) were not going to do the job for me. This even has a line out that I need for a direct box on stage. Again, the effects are really good.

This amp is perfect for blues and other kind of music. It have great features, the effects are really nice. The only things about this amp that is not too good is the lead chanel...that's why i put an 8 on quality and value. If your are looking for a really nice amps at a great price kustom 35 DFX is the one.

Loud but Muddy

By Tbone7420

I picked up this amp just recently, I was thinking about going with a Marshall or Fender, but why pay over priced ammounts for something that just has a logo slapped on it. I narrowed my search down to this or a peavey and went with this. First impressions were that the distortion was a bit heavy, but decent for the price. The clean channel is amazingly clear, and can be a bit too...thumpy when used on the "US" setting. This is a great amp for beginers or practicing. Heck, it may even over power the rest of the band if you put it on 10. This thing is THAT loud.

Sweeeetness

This amp as beautiful tone and clean amplification through and through. There are few amps I have played with that compare to it. From the beginers to the pros doing gigs here and there this amp will fit right in.

great product

By deathtoall

from NY

i love this amp, it's quite big for a 30 watt, and it pushes quite a bit of air (it's loud as hell). I use this as a practice amp with my band, but for gigs I use 2 avt50 heads and 2 avt cabs.

pretty good amp

By Anonymous

i have owned this amp for a while now. i got it from a friend who bought it and doesn't play guitar, so i got it cheap. i looked at it and i thought it wouldn't be that good, i just wanted it because it was bigger than the original amp i had. it turned out to be a real good amp! it's nice and loud, and sounds great. the distortion on it could be better, but hey. i like it.
