Well built nothing cheap made about it this amp was built to last
The Duoverb is a great amp folks if you have not tried one by now then your missing out and you can pick these things up cheap now. I have owned many different amps in my 30+ years of playing the guitar from old school Marshall and Fender to Mesa and many others. I got hooked on the Line 6 products not long after they came out. And I have owned many Line 6 amps. One of my all time favorite was the Vetta but it was one of those things you had to learn to work with it to set it up. Many considered it to complicated as some people just didn't take the time to read the owners manual to learn how operate it. So Line 6 built the Duoverb on a request from many old timers who said less effects and more knobs and no led screens. Well there you go that's what it is.

It has distortion and reverb that's all you get but hey it has a effects send and receive so the possiablities with this amp are endless. I run a Alesis Midiverb 3 and use a midi cable to run a patch where I need effects into the effects send. So it's real sweet.

I just sold my Blackheart BH100H Hot Head today and made sure I kept my Duoverb I love it and the Blackheart was cool but it was heavy folks.

I play blues and use a Ibanez RG350EX I know that sounds nuts I used to be nothing but a Strat man but these double coil pickups have a different vibe on the neck pickup I never could get out of single coil.
The distortion it has could have been a little better but for blues and country it's perfect as it is.

This amp seemed very intriguing so I bought it. Then I messed with it for about 2 weeks findng out that you have to use MIDI to get everything out of the amp. The cab models cannot be used like regular line 6 amps. You can't match any cab to any amp. On the top set of amps they have 1-8 cabs to scroll through. The bottom has 9-16 and they all suck. They cabs don't match the amps and you have to use a CC pedal to scroll the cabs. The idea line 6 had was great but they had too many flaws in the amp and prolly tried to cut corners on expense. It's a real shame the amp could have been great if they had put forth a better effort. It can be a nice cheap stereo power amp if you want that but for an amp it's kinda useless. I sent mine back.

Take the time to learn

By walt-q-U3M

from Augusta GA

This is an awesome amp. Take the time to read the manual and match the sounds of the amp to your guitar. Play with the cabinet settings on the back of the amp. Some amps need to be played through the proper cabinet to sound the best. Give the speakers time to break in because they are powerful. However, once you do, the amp will blow you away. This amp absolutly screams, roars, sings, and crackles with authority. This amp also has the most beautiful clean sound that simply shimmers. I have owned my amp for six years and I have finally learned how to play it. The ambient temperature has a great effect on this amp. When it is cold outside and hot inside, good sound. When cold outside and cold inside, horrible sound. But when hot outside and hot inside, phenomenal sound, can't stop playing. The picking dynamics are incredible and the clarity is astounding. I always want to sell this amp till I play it in a hot environment and I change my mind every time. Wish it were smaller that's all.

The perfect amp

By EjBluesboy

from Wolcott, CT

I have had this amp for a week and have it matched to a Marchall 4-12" cabinet. Great combo. The only minor complaint I have is that I wish it was a little louder, as I have replaced a vintage Hiwatt DR 103 with the duoverb. Other than that, this is the best amp I have ever played through. It is incredibly versatile, and a heck of a lot of fun. It really accurately recreates all of the amps really well. Get the 2-button footswitch with it. That way you can scroll through all the different amp models. For the price, it is an absolute steal!!!Much better than an over priced Marshall!

duoverb

By this amp is garbage2

This amp is alright, but I can't believe the generous ratings it's getting. The distortions really don't sound good at all and the cleans aren't the great, but at least it has some interesting features. You might as well just invest the money on a good tube amp, because modeling really doesn't cut it- there may be a wide variety of tones, but they're not that great and just sound kind of cold and without any sparkle.

Not enough built in effects/distortion

By Ardent224

from Glendale, AZ

it's bent to make you buy only line 6 products from there on out. As soon as you buy it you need to get an expensive pedal board if you want to actually use the effects on it. Then there's no good distortion, it's all really squeely. Overall, the power and the sounds were not too impressive for the price.

DUOVERB

By Mr. Chase

from Ada, Ok.

I totally hated the fact that i spent my cash on a LINE 6...now, though, I'm gettin more and more satisfied with this amp. I'd recommend buying the shortboard for the HD as it saves a lot of trouble.
