Line 6, Great Products.
I will make this short and to the point. I purchased a Line 6 Flextone when they first came out (1996) because I was looking for an amp that had very simple methods of operation and, a wide variety of sounds. At first I wasn't too pleased mainly because the amp had a lot of features and, I somewhat became intimidated by all of the features. I also did not have the floorboard when I purchased this amp.
The more I used this the better it got and, then I purchased the fllorboard and, a whole new world opened up. I have been a musician for over 40yrs. and, I have had extensive experience with just about all types of amps, a lot of them were tube amps from the 60's and, early 70's. Sure they sounded great but back then there was nothing but this. I was always running down to radio shack or any place that had a tube tester to make sure that they were OK, what a pain! Price a new set of tubes to keep onhand in your gig bag, because if you are doing a live show and, have tube problems you better have some handy.
I am currently using my old Flextone and ,have played countless gig's with absolutely no problems. I will never go back to using tube amps and, I currently have a new Spider IV 75 and FBV shortboard on the way and, I can hardly wait !
If you want tubes go for it but, don't count Line 6 out or complain because of your own shortcomings. They build a fine product for a reasonable price and, in this day in age that's where my money is going.
I have transported amps like the Fender Dual Showman and, a Marshall Stack but, those days are over with. It's a new day and those days are gone. Technology is here and, I'm damned thankfull for it. Wished it would have been here many years ago.
After I recieve my Spider IV 75 and FBV Shortboard and give it a workout and, I'll post another review and, I'm sure it will be an extremely positive one.
NO PROBLEMS...
You won't find a better amp with all of these features for the same price.

i bought this amp as a replacement for my spider 3 75W. i saw it in the store, played it, loved the tones, loved the features... had to have it! bought it, took it home and used it non stop for about 2 month. worked great! i couldnt be happier! then one day, i turned it on, it started to smoke and cought on fire! the store wouldnt take it back, so i had to send it out for repairs. took it to an autherized repair shop and its been over there over a month! they are waiting on a part... this sucks! i just hope am the only one with this kinda of probelms with it! other then that... when it did work, it was awsome... rest in peace...

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
I've own a Line 6 Spider IV 75W for 2+ years. The only draw back is that it will never sound like a 4X12 cabinet, it only has a 12" speaker. If you need power, just mike it you'll be amazed. Put it on top of your 4X12 cabinets, mike it and you'll look good and sound the best.
I own and tried many top of the line amps, you'd be supprised at my collection (Tubes and all). So far, this is my favourite all around amp. Sound + weight + versatility, just try to beat it. I haven't yet.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
This product was exactly what I was looking for. I tried multi-fx units (DigiTech, Boss, and Vox) but they always sounded thin or digital. I know some people are happy with them but I couldn't ever get the sound I wanted. There are more presets than you could ever use and they sound great. There are some thick, heavy distortions, great clean sounds, and wonderful lead tones.
I think it would definitely be loud enough for a small venue. I haven't turned it up past 3 or 4. I also run it into the house at my church. When you plug something into the 1/4 jack on the back, it mutes the speakers. That's a great feature if you want to plug in headphones or run it into a soundboard.
Service-wise, I ordered it on Black Friday and had it by the next Wednesday. I called and the guy gave me a discount that wasn't available online.
I would also recommend getting one of the footswitches, otherwise all of the options become useless. You would basically be stuck on one preset unless you wanted to bend down and tweak the knobs.

Bought Amp for my son after. Looking at used amps first I decided the new one was worth it and I was right. Could not have done better than the line 6. It is loud and have great sound quality. Plenty of effects to keep the kid busy trying new sounds out. Only have for a week but so far extremely happy with the purchase

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
I bought this amp after using a Roland Cube for two years. This amp is quite a step up from the Cube and sounds great for its price. This amp has effects upon effects, varying from auto wah, phaser, reverb, delay and many more. I don't use the preset effect combinations very often, as I find that it is easier to fine tune each effect manually instead of cycling through the hundreds of presets. This amp does get very loud and I usually keep it at only a quarter of the max volume when using it in my house. I play a lot of Muse on my PRS SE 245 and was happy to see that I could mimic many of their songs with the built in effects. I would reccomend this amp to any beginning or casual guitar player.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
I am not a Line 6 fan but some of what they make is okay, like the flextone. The spider series are simply trash. They may sound good at low levels but they cannot handle stage sound and will get drowned out every time. At higher volumes the amp simply puts out a wall of unbearable noise. You hear noise, but you dont hear your guitar. Yes this thing will make a cheap guitar rock, but only at low levels. Do yourself a favor learn about the tone you want and get a good tube amp that does it like Marshall, Blackstar, Laney, or Bogner (not the line 6 bogner.. its trash too)put a few effects in front of it and feel the magic. Spider amps are cheaply made toys.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
This amp is awesome. I have the Spider 15w, 30w, and 75w, and they are all excellent amps. I got the 15w amp first and I could not believe how loud it was for just a 15w amp, and the 30w is really loud, and of course the 75w could blow out windows! 5 Stars all the way for this amp!

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
I love this little amp. If you're an "in the house" rocker, it's perfect. It is loud enough to easily hear over drums in the house, and can be quiet enough not to wake up the kids, however it not quite loud enough to gig with. Some people might give it negative reviews cause it's hard to hear outside with a full band or something stupid like that, but remember, its a 75w with ONE speaker. Its not a 4x12 cab with a 150w head. I play stuff like Metallica, Slayer, Iced Earth, etc...and it works great. Cleans are crystal clear.(awesome with a little chorus and delay.) Distortion is even better. I don't use any of the presets, though they are fun to play with, just dialed in my own tones and been rockin' since.
