OVERVIEW

A simple and ultra compact tremelo that's small enough for any pedal board.

Malekko Heavy Industry Corporation is proud to introduce you to "TREM", the sixth pedal in the artful Omicron series.

Sick of blisters, commonly associated with the feverish twiddling of volume knobs? Do you find yourself screaming, "Enough! It's time someone created a pedal that will automatically alternate between increasing and decreasing signal amplitude, thus creating a perceivable, repeating pattern of undulation!"?
If so, rejoice!

"TREM" is a tiny little machine that packs a volumetric ton of oomph. With only two knobs, the user is able to manipulate a signal's volume within a vast spectrum of possibility: from a slow and shallow push/pull, all the way through to a quick and choppy pulse. SPEED controls the rate of gain and attenuation (the on/off LED blinks in time with this setting when the pedal is engaged), while DEPTH adjusts the amplitude of both (if you find yourself wanting more gain, there is an adjustable trimpot, easily accessible with the pedal's backplate removed).
Don't be surprised when your drummer asks, "Is that a Malekko Heavy Industry Corporation TREM in your pocket, or do you just naturally undulate so smoothly?"

Comments about Malekko Heavy Industry Omicron Series Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

Very tiny pedal, seems to be built well, has a great sound. I really like that I could turn up the gain inside the pedal housing. Only problem is that the slowest setting isn't as slow as I want. Guess I'll keep looking.

Comments about Malekko Heavy Industry Omicron Series Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

In all fairness, this is the first tremolo pedal I've ever bought, so I have nothing to compare this too. My expectations may just be off here. I play mostly hard rock, and I was looking for something that would truly cut my signal on and off at a desired rate. When playing clean, this pedal would do a good job of pulsing the volume without coloring the tone, so it's transparent. However, when using overdriven tones, the signal has to die down in volume (after letting it ring out for a couple seconds) before any tremolo effect can be heard. During what I call "normal" playing, I couldn't even tell the tremolo was on. Again, I was hoping for something that would really cut my signal in and out, but this doesn't even come close. I returned it.

Comments about Malekko Heavy Industry Omicron Series Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

When this tiny beauty arrived it was not the barcode paint model showed in the photo's. Which I personally do not care for, but the older TREM design. Sounds amazing. Small. Simple. Great Tremolo pedal for any rig!

Comments about Malekko Heavy Industry Omicron Series Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I needed a tremolo for use with my non tremolo equipped tweed amp. This unit does the job well.

On the low end it goes slower than my blackface amps and will get plenty trippy fast on the high end.

I like that it has the internal level adjustment. This is a set and forget trimmer. The tremolo effect is very musical sounding with no noise introduced when engaged.

It also takes up a minimal amount of space on a board. This is an all around great choice for a tremolo pedal.

Comments about Malekko Heavy Industry Omicron Series Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've used a Supa-Trem for many years, but in putting together a new pedalboard for this year's touring, it was just too large, so I was looking to replace it with a mini pedal. I tried a Mooer, and it was terrible. Then I came across the Malekko Omicron, and I was blown away. The sound is great. The build is sturdy. The size is perfect!
I agree with one of the other reviews that it doesn't quite go as slow as I might like, and the only issue I had with it is because the knobs are so small, they're very sensitive so it took awhile to find the 'sweet spot' for the Depth for my preference. However, once I did, the pedal sings!
Tremolo is one of my favorite effects, but it's also a simple effect. If you're looking for a great sounding Tremolo in a mini size pedal, this is the one.

Comments about Malekko Heavy Industry Omicron Series Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought the Omicron because of its size and you can adjust the output. It comes set with no volume boost, but I wanted just a little and was able to adjust it easily. The quality of the sound is outstanding, and the range of depth and rate is all I could want. I aso looked at the Mooer pedal, but the Omicron is made in the US, so I thought I'd try this one first. Glad I did.
