A special limited run of the award-winning Mark II.
In April 2008, Bass Player magazine announced the winners of their first annual Reader's Choice Awards, and the Little Mark II amp head emerged as the big winner, earning both Best Bass Head and Best All-Around New Product honors.
To celebrate this great honor, Marco De Virgiliis has created the Markbass Little Mark II Marco Limited Edition 08. Only 500 will be produced, and each one will be tested, approved, and signed by Marco personally. This collector's item will not last.
The Markbass Little Mark II is a stunning bass amp head that combines great sound, compact size, and light weight. Its small size makes the Little Mark II easy to transport, yet with a 4-band EQ, VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) and VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter), its tone is nothing short of professional. The I/O includes an input that can handle both passive and active basses and an extra XLR balanced input for double bass pickups. Its Neutrik Speakon Combo out jacks work with 1/4" or Speakon speaker cables. A tuner out jack sends unbalanced signals to a tuner, amp, or recording equipment. Send and return effect jacks maintain your main signal even if something dies in your effects chain.

What a great little amp! It is unmatched for quality, size and price. I use it w/ an avatar 212 cab and fender passive basses - sounds awesome. the "B" on the fiver sometimes gets a little lost but I think thats a cab issue more than the amp. I've also recorded w/ this a bunch of times. . . just amazing!
Just bought it from Musiciansfriend.com. Like many other reviewers, I was blown away by this little amp! It has a focused yet warm sound with the beautiful mids characteristic of Markbass amps. I used it last week, along with my 4 ohms Avatar B410 cab for a gig in a very busy club and got many compliment. Unless you play at insane volume levels you will have enough power to power any cabinet configuration. For a more "tuby" sound I occasionally stomp onto my Sansamp VT Bass. All in all, you would be hard pressed to find such an incredible value.
This is one fine amp. Besides the fact it fits in my gig bag, it packs as much punch as I need to drive a fifteen piece big band.I run it through a Yamaha 12 PA speaker with a NS UEB. Hook it up to two Goliath Jr's for the blues band.I know it's different without the bass and treble controls. Think differently- think Mark Bass
I own 2 of these now. I have had or used most every bass amp available and for the quality, tone, ease of movement I have found nothing that will touch this little amp. It is unbeliveable the power and tone quality of this amp. I use it with 2/10 speaker, 4/10/ 6/10 and 8/10 speakers and it is perfect for all uses. It sounds exceptonaly well with Eden, Carvin and Schroeder cabinets. My rating of this amp is #1
