The Markbass New York series welcomes the 122, a rear-ported, ultra-light bass speaker cab which features two custom 12" neodymium speakers and a special B&C compression driver and horn. With high output, punchy low-end and incredible definition in the highs and mids, this Markbass New York cab is a great choice for lovers of a full, flat-response tone. Named after the big city where bassists often take the subway or a taxi to gigs. This ultra-light Markbass speaker is a great compact solution for bassists on the go.

Have owned this cab for well over a year now. Used with a variety of heads in a variety of rooms. This cab is loud, efficient and has a small footprint (if speakers are aligned vertically). Only down side is it doesn't like to be placed up against a wall (maybe because of the rear porting?) Oh and if you have a big Amp it will hang over the sides of the cab if it is set up vertically. I had a Mesa D180 setup like that looked like an awesome sounding T.
Has a nice even sound that lets your amp really shine through. It has sounded very good with whatever amp I have used and I have been using it mainly with a GK MB800. A great matchup. The MB NY122 handles the massive amount of GK Power with ease.
Markbass makes great stuff but honestly this is one of maybe three Markbass cabs I really like. It's not cheap but I can't imagine a cab near the price that sounds this great at high or low volumes and is easy to move around. People are usuallu shocked when they see the size of my rig and more shocked when I usually don't run through the PA.
