Markbass

Light and portable with a rich, clear tone and unique look.

Randy Jackson is world famous as a TV celebrity—he's been one of the judges on America's most-watched TV series, American Idol, since the beginning of the show in 2002. What some don't know, however, is that he's an incredibly accomplished bass player. His resume is vast and varied, and boasts such names as Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Jean-Luc Ponty, Journey, Zucchero, Billy Cobham, Keith Richards, Aretha Franklin, Steve Lukather, Madonna, Herbie Hancock and many others. Randy has collaborated with Markbass to create this exceptional 1x15” cabinet.

Like all Markbass cabinets, the Randy Jackson Signature New York 151 RJ 1x15 Bass Speaker Cabinet is light and portable and offers rich, clear tone. The sound is deep and warm but has greater clarity and definition than other 15” woofer--and the cabinet features a cool, unique look, with ultra-durable custom tolex covering, and trademark Markbass yellow piping. This cab is the perfect match for the Randy Jackson Signature TTE 500 500W Tube Bass Amp Head.

Features

  • Stunning looks and deep sound

Comments about Markbass Randy Jackson Signature New York 151 RJ 1x15 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

Outstaning quality and construction! Light weight and easy to transport.Great low/clear/punchy tone, very impressed with tone and all in a light weight cabinet.Great design and sounds good all by itself and look forward to pairing it up with 4-10s, as it should sound amazing. This is one welcomed 15" bass speaker, clarity/punch for days!

Thanks Musiciansfriend and Markbass, great product.

Have been playing bass since the mis 70s and this bass cabinet is a keeper!

Comments about Markbass Randy Jackson Signature New York 151 RJ 1x15 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I currently work with several bands that all play different styles of music and venues, small to large. I own several different types of amps and cabinets and will use whatever I think will be the best combination for the job. I recently purchased the RJ 151 and took it to an outside show adding a 102p cabinet for the speakers, and used my Randy Jackson 800 for amplification. I had several positive comments from musicians attending the event who were standing out front and from my bandmates on stage. I personally loved the clarity and warmth the cabinet provided.

Comments about Markbass Randy Jackson Signature New York 151 RJ 1x15 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I paired the 151 NY with my Markbass tube 800.It sounds amazing. It has a clearer sound than the other Markbass 15s I've tried. I was using a Aguliar 212 that kicks but the weigt of 72 pounds is to heavy for this 60 year old.I can carry this with one hand and the sound is almost as good.I recently bought the 112 traveler Markbass for a smaller cabinet and it also sounds amazing so I got the 15 to pair it up when I need it. I dought I will ever have to but I will anyway because the 2 together is a thumper. The 115 NY is plenty loud for any gig.

Comments about Markbass Randy Jackson Signature New York 151 RJ 1x15 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

After purchasing the TTE-500, I decided to get the matching cabinet. WOW! The pairing of the two together is a stunning combination. For gigs that require more volume, I'll be using my 4ohm Aguilar 410. I may however, order another NY RJ 1x15 and sell the Aguilar. This cabinet is a great addition to any rig. I've played many different brands over the years and Markbass has led me to part with using my 1997 Eden WT-400 and my Aguilar cabinet. That in of itself is a massive compliment. I also like being able to easily haul my gear and the RJ 1x15 is way more versatile than most other 15 cabinets on the market.

Comments about Markbass Randy Jackson Signature New York 151 RJ 1x15 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

Sounds great with my new TTE500 head. Super light and great vintage warm killer tone, loud as all. Sounds like my old S.V.T when paired with the TTE500 head. Yes I would buy it again. MB makes the lightest and one of the best sounding bass amps and cabinet on the planet.
