I bought this amp because I hoped to get a nice warm round sound with plenty of volume behind it. I used it with my Markbass New York 151RJ. To keep a long story short, this amp seemed like it was being pushed even at the lowest volume. I couldn't get the tone or the volume out of it that I wanted. I though that was a bit strange so I "A/B'd" it with my Little Mark Tube 800. The difference was like night and day. Because the Little Mark Tube 800 is tube driven and has the VLE and VPF filters (vs only the "Color Filter" actually a VLE) I can get anything I want and it rattles the windows. I think this amp was a good idea but it lacks power, warmth and versatility. I returned the amp the next day. Personally, I would (and did) buy the Little Mark 800 tube amp. It's more compact and performs much better than this amp..it's also got a mute function where the TTE800 does not. Don't get me wrong, this amp may be what YOU are looking for but definitely not for me. AND, I do own other Markbass products and swear by them.
