100 watts of insane power and Slayer tone!

The all-valve Kerry King Signature JCM800 2203KK is the essence of simplicity--a single-channel tube amp with no reverb or effects. It's easy control panel, distinctive roar, and larger than life edge has set the standard by which many rock amps are judged.

This Kerry King model features a switchable Kerry King signature sound section called "The Beast" that has two adjustable controls --"Assault" & "Gate." "Assault" intensity controls the extent of Kerry's signature EQ boost, and "Gate" is an adjustable, studio-quality, ultra-fast noise reduction unit. The 3-band EQ gives you plenty of control, but the base tone of this amp is patterned after the reverse-shape EQ setting used by Kerry himself! Eye-catching tribal graphics blaze from the front panel and baffle. Jim Marshall and Kerry King's signature's on the control panel identify its pedigree.

One of the nicest surprises: Marshall has added functionality to the amp, while lowering the price!

    A JCM800 ON STEROIDS

    By Guillermo Lozano

    from Guadalajara, México

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

    God bless Jim Marshall
I like blues rock (Hendrix, Cream) and metal classics (Sabbath, Judas Priest) that's why I brought this amp even if my 2 brothers in the band are funkyer than me. I've had a JCM 800 back in the early 90's and sold it, in order to buy the 900 which was more versatyle, then switched to the DSL 100 that I still own, but for me the KT88's this one comes with give it the definitive touch of tone I really dig, and that's before you even touch the "Beast" button. I don't think I would use this feature too much but it's great to have it as a killer weapon.
This amp has autentic marshall pedigree vibe, specially on top of a 1960AX cabinet
I'm a Rock'n Roll fan since The Beatles and The rolling Stones, yes, I'm 55 and proud that I lived that era when it all started. For me this amp captures the very best sounds and tone rock guitar has ever created.

    Kerry King JCM800

    By slayerfan213@hotmail.com

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

I bought this amp basically because I am a huge Slayer fan. I have been for about 20 years. If you are looking for Slayer's tone, this nails it! Especially from Seasons in the Abyss up to their latest album. I have an original 1982 Marshall JCM 800 already that I totally love. I played them side by side with the "beast" mode turned off. They don't sound indentical but very very close. But then the cabinets I have are different and this has KT88's and the original has EL34's, so that has something to do with that. So the 2203KK can do old school rock as well as other genres of music too. It's not a one trick pony by any means. With the "Beast" engaged this thing rips! Not ultra-ultra high gain, but quite a lot. Weather you are a Slayer fan or not, or even a metal guitar player or not, I highly recommend this amp.

All ya need's another noise gate...

    By chilofbodom777

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

This amp has by far the fattest tone, the most bite, and the most crunch out of any metal or rock amp I've ever tried. not as much gain as a JVM, but it makes up for that with the "beast" switch. My only complaint is that the gate could be better, but my Line 6 Uber Metal (which I use as an overdrive) has a better one. Overall this is a great amp for rock, metal, and alternative. Mostly metal.

    F**k All Other Amps!

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

I needed an amp that has a heavy tone, and sounds amazing when cranked. I was competing with a peavey 6505+ which my friend has. I was skeptical at first about the marshall distortions but i went with it anyway. Overall i'm very impressed. The heavy distortion was exactly what i was looking for and sounds better when turned up. The noise gate is awesome. I get no feedback at all. I def. recommend this amp!

    Killer Metal amp

    By Ronman-oeteU

    from Portland OR

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

Verry brutal amp. It really cranks and it needs to be at 4 to really start hearing the tone come in. The gate works better also when its cranked up. Setting the gate is very important and make sure the power tubes are seated good when you get it. I had a couple flaking on me so I pulled them and reseated them and no probs. Also this amp has a mid boost in brutal mode so it sounds better thru my mesa recto large size cab to get the bottom end we love. The marshall cab sounds tiny and has bad overtones. The mesa cured this for me.

    Sick Metal Tone

    By Damien Azrael-n635-

    from Fort Lauderdale, FL

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

I've owned a lot of Marshalls over the years but this by far is the sickest one. I get a nice full guitar sound that's crushing. I've owned two different JCM 800's before this one and this kills both of 'em. The coolest thing about this head is it's actually pretty affordable. It's cheaper than the re-issue 800 and in my opinion sounds a million times better.

    This amp screams!

    By The Snowman45

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

I tried one of these out today, and I've gotta say this is the best amp I've played yet. There aren't a whole lot of knobs to confuse yourself with, and you can always add pedals in to give yourself more options for tone. Even though this is a metal amp, I still managed to get really sweet blues and clean tones out of it. Definitely one of the most versatile amps I've ever had any experience with.

    F@#king Relentless!

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Signature JCM800 Guitar Amp Head:

I'm one of those skeptical guitarists who has to try something and play around with different things. I needed an amp that would support my arsenal of ESP V's and Vader cabs. I tried out 3 different amps within the same price range. This amp, The Peavey 6505 and the Krank Krankenstein. Now, I need a powerful head to back up the Vader cabs, and I was very skeptical about Marshall. But c'mon...its Kerry King. Sure enough this amp (in my opinion) sounded better of the three. "The Beast" EQ really hits home with the gain. Not many features, but hey, with what I play I only want feral, punishing distortion and tone. This amp conquers!
