Big Zakk Wylde Marshall tone in a compact package.
There's nothing micro about Zakk Wylde, but even Zakk doesn't always haul his full-sized Marshall amp everywhere he goes—like backstage to warm up. The Marshall MG15MSZW Microstack puts out a tone that's far from miniature. With a 15W head and 2 cabs each with a 10" speaker, this stack is only 15"W x 37"H x 9"D. The head has all the standard MG features: control for clean volume; overdrive gain and volume; reverb level; and 3-way EQ with bass, treble, and a contour that lets you fine-tune the mids. It also boasts a CD input, an emulated line out, and a headphone jack that mutes the speakers.
Conceived by Dr. Jim Marshall after he and Zakk had shared a few whiskeys, the Zakk Wylde version of the Marshall Microstack sports salt & pepper grille cloth and a custom Zakk control panel with the famous bullseye pattern.
Think small but sound big. Order your Zakk Wylde MG Microstack today!

I got this from a local pawn shop yesterday I traded a randall rh150, gibson Flying V melody maker, digitech bad monkey and a zoom multieffects to get this! I had to have it because I'm a marshall freak but once I played it I was amazed! Best practice amp ever really good sound for a ss amp and the clean is amazing! If you come across one I recommend!
I have had this amp for about 3 weeks now and I have to say it is great It is muc louder than I thought it would. The clean is good and the distortion is awsome. I don't even need to use a pedel For anyone looking for a great small amp this Marshall amp is a must have, or if you are a fan of Zakk Wylde. Buy this amp you won't be sure
I bought this last week because my old practice amp just wasn't cutting it. I saw the price and couldn't pass the deal up. Being a Marshall setup I knew it would be good and would suffice for what I wanted, but I was blown away when I plugged in and started playing. The overdrive is AWESOME and the clear is just that. The booklet also has some Zakk reccomended settings that are pretty cool too. You absolutely cannot go wrong with buying this Microstack.
An exceptional value. Very versatile with the ability to amplify an Ovation acoustic on the clean channel with-out the low E string feedback that plagues some amps. Plug in an Explorer with dirty fingers and switch to the OD channel then listen to this practice amp roar! High Recommended.
When I need to go deaf I play my Marshall JCM 900 50 watt full stack but when I need to hone my skills and still get a huge sound the MG15mszw is perfect. It is the best sounding small amp I have ever used. I get awesome controlable feedback, huge phat sound and serious Marshall tone. It is my favorite amp to practice with ever. I sit right in front of it and rock away and if the wife starts yakking at me the headphones go right on and the world doesn't exist anymore, well at least my wifes yakking goes away. I feel like "land of the giants" in front of this amp compared to being in front of my JCM900 full stack. Great job Marshall & Zakk, another great Marshall product.
I'm comparing this to the MG15DFX combo, which has been my main home practice amp since 2003. I gig a lot with Marshall and Mesa tube half stacks, but love the MG's for learning mp3's, etc. on my computer. Anyway, compared to my MG15DFX, the ZW Micro Stack sounds MUCH fuller and warmer. It has a bit less brightness and fizz in the top end which brings it one or two more steps closer to a tube sound, and it has a LOT more low end than the 15DFX combo. The midrange sounds slightly more relaxed with the ZW, and the low end has a little less note clarity than the DFX combo. The ZW is also not quite as loud as the 15DFX. These sonic differences are all most likey due to the fact that the ZW has separate speaker cabs with handle/ports in the back. The 15DFX has a brighter, fizzier sound, although it sounds punchy too, but not nearly the subsonics of the ZW. Both are awesome. I love the whole MG series- they're not tubers obviously, but it's the best Marshall sound you can get next to a tuber. In the end, this amp (and probably the non-signature Micro Stack as well), sounds incredible. It's bright, huge, punchy, gainy, reverb, 2 channels... what else does it need?I intend to get a second one, just becaue they're cheap and cool. You can get better modelling amps, but none of them get the Marshall sound.
I just bought this amp, and it was amazing right out of the box!The distortion is awsome, the reverb is great, the clean is nice, lots of volume, and looks killer!I recomend anyone who plays hard rock/metal to try this amp for practising!
I owned the original MG15 micro stack and one thing I do have to say is that Jim Marshall and Zakk did manage to improve on the original. The tone and crunch on this amp are much better than the older model. I gave the amp a 4.5 on features as I feel as though the spring reverb could be a little better. For the price and the extra $50 for Zakk's touch on the amp can't be beat. I have owned combos such as Randalls and Epi's, but this amp is by far the best yet. Great job.
This is the greatest price ever for an amplifier like this. It sounds great, compact, and is overall almost the best. Though, a little to small for my taste.
Very impressed. I wish it had a footswitch jack, but I can live without it. Looks good. I don't see why it costs more than the standard model other than the potential of it being a collectable. I had an original microstack years ago and can honestly say that this version seems to have much better tone. Aside from the extra cost, I love it.
