Comments about Mooer Pure Octave Guitar Effects Pedal:

This device is excellent when blending in most of your own guitar tone with a slight touch of the upper and lower octaves the pedal offers. Picture the sound of Steve Miller's guitar on "Jungle Love" and it nails it when blended correctly. There are obviously other better pedals out there for adding octaves - but this tiny thing is very surprising when using it as a tangential device - brilliant. I would give it 5 stars for the sheer audacity of being so small but being able to do so much. Very happy with it.

Comments about Mooer Pure Octave Guitar Effects Pedal:

The sound can be a little bit wobbly in pitch when everything's dimed out. Otherwise, it sounds excellent at pretty much any setting.

Comments about Mooer Pure Octave Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this pedal to get "synth-like" sounds with my bass and it works well for my purposes.
It tracks great on my fretless, has a number of usable settings and is built pretty tough...
The upper octave sounds like a ring modulator (out of tune), so I dial that out....
This is a good buy and I will be buying more Mooer pedals ...

You get an octave multiplier and a divider in one unit. Very versatile. Easy to use. Good price. My experience with octave effects is somewhat limited, but I find no objectionable shortcomings with this unit.

Comments about Mooer Pure Octave Guitar Effects Pedal:

This little (and I do mean little) jewel excited me when it came out. There are several songs that I have lacked the ability to provide octave effects on my guitar for key passages. The Pure Octave not only gives me subs and sub-subs, but also uppers and upper-uppers. It also gives me the option of upper and lower octaves at the same time with full mixing capability between lower, upper, and dry.The thing is quite versatile with a number of different settings (a few of which I could live without). The best part is that, due to its miniature size, I was able to cram it in with my other three pedals in their puny Boss BCB-30 case.
Combined with other effects, settings, and some imagination, I have found multiple applications for this compact addition to my rather simple setup. As a live tool, it certainly fills the bill for relatively little money. However, I wouldn't recommend it for recording: it sounds too electronic for that application, in my opinion.

Comments about Mooer Pure Octave Guitar Effects Pedal:

I got this because I wanted to be to "octave up" like Josh Homme but didn't want to pay the cost of a more expensive Octave pedal like the EHK POG2. I love the compact design, it takes up almost no space. There is a good range of tones available, and you can dial in any combination of upper and lower octaves. I mainly keep it set to +1/-1 with the lower octave dialed all the way down. I'm not certain that the upper octave is entirely in tune because it can sound a little dissonant at times, especially with the upper dialed all the way up or if you add some distortion to the mix. The upper octave tones sound great, though, you can almost get a Stevie Ray Vaughn vibe when playing a solo and using just the sub-octave. In all, it's not a bad little pedal. It doesn't do exactly what I wanted it to do, but you won't find a more verstatile pedal in terms of octave generating tones on the market at this price.
