OVERVIEW

The Mooer ShimVerb is a great addition to any pedal board. It offers three reverb modes: Room, Spring and Shimmer. The Room reverb provides different sized, true acoustics reverb from room to hall. The Spring reverb simulates a classic spring reverb from the '60s surf rock era. The Shimmer reverb is a rich overtone reverb that's smooth, spacey and shining that's great for Alt rock, post-rock and anything with a more modern sound. Its full metal casing makes it durable and road ready, and like most great effects pedals it has true bypass.

A compact reverb with a wide range of sounds that will satisfy every reverb lover.

Comments about Mooer ShimVerb Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

Most "shimmer" reverbs use octaves to achieve the shimmer effect. The Mooer Shimverb, however, uses 5ths, which makes some weird and interesting sounds. If you're a fan of "shimmer" reverbs, and need the traditional octave sound, this pedal will not be what you're looking for. If you're looking for 5ths and weirdness, then this could be the ticket.

If you choose to not use the "shimmer" effect, this pedal features a very good Spring reverb. So, I would say that it is worth the price for the Spring reverb itself.

TLDR; 5ths, not octaves. Shimmer effect is funky. Spring reverb is very good.

Comments about Mooer ShimVerb Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

I plugged it up and it sounded like a racecar game, no joke! It made a really loud RNNNNN sound, so I unhooked it and used a different 9v plug in and it worked fine for about 2 minutes.. then immediately started to make that racecar sound. I thought maybe it was a short in one of my cables or the 9v plug in itself, but I double-checked everything. All of my other pedals run fine using my same setup so I just figured it was a factory dud. Probably something wrong on the circuit. When it worked, it was amazing. The best reverb pedal I've ever used. I would still recommend this to a friend, but I'm afraid that I will probably not get another mooer pedal.
