If you are not use to controling a wah i wouldnt start hear. Id start with a bad horsie or a dragon 2 wah. The heal down is not much sound and the toe down is extremely high, it has no gain boost so if you play sloppy it will show, if you have no idea how to control a wah it will show, the sound you can get out of it is amazing!!! It very much like a standard crybaby but clearer!!! And more range!!! It sound amazing on clean and amazing with an overdrive pedal! If your using extreme gain it wont sound great but no wah does in maxed out gain!!! But works well with mature amp distortion. With great for blues, hendrix type stuff and hard rock!! The button on the side i love! Tricky after using vox or crybaby but smarter i think. Great buffer it it too no tone loss. Im a big morley fan and dont use my crybabys or vox anymore! My favourite wah is the bad horsie 2 great for anything, but this pedal is great too, if your on the fence about this wah just get it its amazing!!!

This pedal arrived on Thursday. I set it up with my pedal board and begun to play around with it. I wasn't that impressed to begin with. I played it for maybe 3 or 4 hours. The next day I go to play... I plug in my guitar, turn on the distortion and octave pedals and start goin at it. Then I turn on my Wah (this pedal) and the sound just cuts out. I did the "Usual" and unplugged the pedal from the board and just ran it straight into the amp, still nothing... the In and Out functioned fine, but when I push 'wah' everything just dies. Very disappointing. Try a crybaby and spend the extra money.

It's Wah-lieveable

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

Let's start out honestly - I with I'd never sold this wah.I used to own this and for some reason I still can't remember I traded it for a Dunlop Crybaby. The Morley model had everything I could want in a wah pedal - very rich texture, thick sound and didn't make my guitar sound like it was coming out of a tin can.I regret ever selling it and now that the prices have gone up on it I don't know when I'll be able to get it back.

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

It's a big fat Morley Wah with big button that say's on/off. If you can press a stomp box on or off then you'll have no problem. It's got great range, and yes it even does "70's adult theater". It also works great as a quasi talk-box. However, yes the sweet spot of this thing is anywhere other than the heel and toe. But there's a whole lot in between!

    Piece of Junk

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

I bought this wah not long ago, I should have known with its price that it wasn't gonna be anything special. When used on clean tones it can sound ok, but distortion forget it. It just acts like volume, trowing the tone in and out. Also the high frequency is so abrupt it hurts your ears. I would recommend not buying it, and just saving up till you can afford a quality wah. Otherwise you'll end up like me and get stuck with mediocre effect, its not worth it.

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

To all of you guys who prefer this to your cry baby, I'll trade you right now. This thing is a aglorified tone control. If you ar looking for bite and razor sharp skin cutting top end, forget it with this thing. The best I can compare it to is turning the tone knob ofrom bright to dark on your guitar. Don't waste your money! Get a Cry Baby or a Vox!

    This Wah Sux

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

I've owned this thing for like 10 years. It has been durable and reliable, but it's frequency is centered in the wrong range -- shrill high-end and almost no low-mid sweep. Also, the pedal won't sit in any position except completely down, so no backed-off wah tone here unless you use duct tape!Every time I've ever plugged this in, I've hated its sound.

    Great, Affordable Pedal

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

I don't hear the same thing as other reviewers. This pedal is great for the money. I think the sweep is quite dynamic. It is a little quiet on the low end and the high is "screechy" which basically means it gets vey high. But the action in the middle is great and I can't hear much difference between this and the crybaby. The fact that you don't have to "toe down" to activate it gives you a lot of freedom. This is a great pedal.

Decent Pedal, Great for the Price

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

This is a pretty cheap pedal. It gets a wah sound that I like, and its easy to get used too. It's way heavy and pretty big. Get an ac adapter or power supply or a daisy chain or something cuz it kills batteries hella fast. It also gets low volume at its down position, beware.

Comments about Morley Classic Wah Pedal:

My brother has owned this wah for 2 years and it's held up great! It can play anything and the range is great. I played my friend's crybaby and I can't say I would ever choose it over this Morley! He's used it live and for jams. Great for funk and just as good as a crybaby for those Slash-like solos! He let me use it for my birthday, and woah! The size of it is real nice. the only other wah I like is a crybaby, so that's the only other I can compare it to.
