Other than being a great sounding wah, the best thing for me is the immediate response. When the moment comes and you feel the need for wah, simply step on the pedal and the wah is there. With a conventional wah, by the time you step on the switch to turn the pedal on the moment of inspiration has passed. When you are through using the wah, take your foot off the pedal and the wah stops. No need to step on a switch to turn off the pedal thus eliminating one more thing you need to think about as you play. All in all, a great sounding pedal that is rugged and easy to use.

No adjustment. The way it is, is what you get. If you're looking for something else, try the Bad Horsie 2. Gives you some control.
Like all Morely Products, it's a tank. Very rare to drop one of their pedals and not have it work again.
Considering how long it's been out and also that there's a 2nd version, kinda feel it should be around $99 tops.

Comments about Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Pedal:

Unlike other company's wah pedals, this one is really very responsive & simple to use. Press the pedal & the LED lights up & it's on. Let your foot off of the pedal, the wah is off & the LED light goes off. No pressing forward to try to guess if your wah pedal is on or off. I can't recall ever hearing a better sounding wah either. Save yourself some buyer's remorse and just buy this pedal. You're gonna love it.

Comments about Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Pedal:

I did a bunch of research and tried almost evey wah pedal made and some that are not made anymore. The main reason I choose this one is because it doesn't have a switch and a pot to go bad and as soon as you step off of it, it turns off. With the other wah pedals when you step on the switch you're already at the top of the sweep with this one it starts at the bottom of the sweep and you go up from there. My next one will be this or the Bad Horsie 2.
I lke this because it doesn't have a switch or pot to go bad.
Really well built. formed steel not cast that can crack if abused.
I've owned it for abotu eight years and no problems yet.

Comments about Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Pedal:

i bought this more because of not having to switch it on and off, when i got it i used the effects loop on my amp and thought there was way to much low range so the other day i went straight to my amp now its more balanced and less touchy as it was before so if you buy this product i recommend not using an effects loop

Comments about Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Pedal:

I have found this to be the best Wah out there at a reasonable price. You can argue the switching all day long, I love it.I found that most wahs have a small range of usefullness and a large range at the top and bottom of the sweep that were simply useless. THis caused me to stay in a very small range of rocking with my foot. This wah doesnt have that problem. It has a smooth and long sweep.I also enjoy the spring loaded resistance the pedal provides. I have problems with my feet and only having to push down helps a lot with my control of the pedal with the spring pushing it back to starting position.I have an original run Bad Horsie, had it for years, build like a tank, never any problems.I use this last to take advantage of the buffered output. It improved my tone and clarity using a 20 foot cable.I also love the large platform for your foot provided, most other pedals are like trying to be a gymnast on that sliver of footspace provided.Overall usefull across the entire sweep, sound isnt over the top, Buffered output, foot and control friendly and build like a tank.

Comments about Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Pedal:

In most cases, when you have a product that an artist has co-designed or has their endorsement on it, you may think you will sound just like the artist. In the case of the Bad Horsie, yes, Steve Vai did have it built to his specs and he does use it. But,I don't play like Steve so I had to adjust it to my specs. You can adjust the "turn-off ratio" via an adjustment inside the unit, which is what I did. It can make your clean tones bark and spit, but after a bit of woodshedding, I learned to control that by adjusting my playing. I don't normally use it for clean setting, but if I do, I use it for a midrange adjustment. The wah works great for overdriven tones and by learning to use it, you can produce some great sounds. It isn't for everyone, but I really like it and it works great for my playing.
