Classic Orange tone with an angry edge in a killer 30-watt twin channel head.

The 30W Orange Amplifiers AD30HTC all-tube guitar amp head offers 2 dual stage channels with completely separate signal paths for convenient channel switching. The result is like having 2 vintage valve amps in 1. The Orange AD30HTC amp's Channel 1 has a thick, creamy, classic voice that barks like a rottweiler when pushed into the tone zone. Channel 2 has a tighter, springy and slightly faster character with a little more upper mids and a bit more gain. The Orange AD30HTC amp head has proved to be so popular worldwide that its specs remain unchanged. The Orange AD30HTC is quickly becoming a go-to amp head in the 30W Class A tube amplifier realm.

Great tone from a great amp!

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD30HTC 30W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Bought this amp in early December of 09 after watching several online demos and jamming on a used one at GC. The build quality is well above par, which have come to be expected from Orange. Both channels are capable of achieving anywhere from chimey Vox-like cleans to classic roaring crunch, with channel 2 being a bit hotter and more defined in the highs and upper-midrange. The EQs on both channels isn't the most responsive in the world. It seems Orange already had a set sound for the amp, which means you won't get a bad sound out of it. Roll back the treble and up the bass to get a low, thick, droning tone that makes Orange amps so sought after by the doom/stoner metal crowds. All in all a great amp for all types of rock.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD30HTC 30W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

This amp is simple Killer! Two channels, possibility to two distinct sound. Very well built, perfect finished! I just cant get enough of the sound that this head can make. You can start with a clean, bright sound ou dial up some Gain e go back to the classic rock & roll sound of the 70s

This is a great amp...

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD30HTC 30W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Bought this amp in October of 2009 and I couldn't be happier. I must begin by stating how good the build quality is and how much effort it looks like the folks at Orange put into this amp. All the tubes are covered or in a spring cover, and the wiring looks proper; well soldered parts. This amp is mainly geared towards a rock/blues crowd, and when I play this out of my SG Standard it can be a little too muddy for my style, but on my Strat it sounds great. I would recommend getting tubes that don't break up early if you don't want such a thick sound. This amp can sound like a VOX AC30 if done right. The only complaint is that there are not many features for an amp of it's price. No reverb, no footswitch, etc.
