Orange Amplifiers

Digital effects, 3-band EQ, and a line out let you control your Orange tone, and plug it all in to an even bigger system.

The first thing you notice about Orange Crush amplifiers is their cool looks. Just like their bigger brothers, they have the legendary Orange basket weave Tolex, woven speaker grille, beading and legendary hieroglyphs (PiX) and of course the Orange signature 'picture frame' edging. But it's not just cool looks—plug into the Orange Crush PiX CR35LDX amp, or any of these great little Orange guitar amps and you'll soon realize they are Orange through and through.

The 35W Orange Crush PiX Series CR35LDX 35W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp features 3-band EQ control to better define your sound. The switchable overdrive (with optional footswitch) kicks your guitar into high-gear with plenty of heavy tone. The Orange amp's built-in tuner is easy, helpful, and keeps you in precise tune. The auxiliary input is great for an MP3 player, for playing along to, or just jamming out with the loudspeaker. The Orange CR35LDX amp's headphone out is great for silent practicing.

The collection of digital effects adds character to sound. This 35W Orange amplifier's effects include delay, reverb, chorus, and tremolo for a wide assortment of sounds you can get in this sweet combo. A line out also lets you plug in to a larger stack, or into a soundboard for an amplified experience with the tone and control of your Orange guitar amp.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Great practice amp and home studio musician. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Features:

This little amp is the complete package for your amplification needs and a little extra.

The amp build is quite solid and it has all the looks and feel of the orange line.  Loaded with everything you need to just jam out at practice and gig worthy of small - medium size venues.

1/8 Aux in, Line out, Footswitch input for overdrive, Overdrive channel input, headphone out and input for instrument, obviously, you cant ask for more than what this baby offers.

Boasting the tone contol of a much pricier amp, you have control of Lows, Mids, Highs, Volume, Overdrive, and Gain.  The onboard effects make it much more fun to experiment with if you are looking for some modulation or time-based effects (i.e. Reverb, Flanger, Chorus, Vibrato).  It is also light enough to carry anywhere, and small enough to fit into the backseat floorboard of a small car.

Quality:

To quote another reviewer "When Orange does amps they do it right."

The build and sound quality of this amp is absolutely irresistable for the price.

Made of solid wood, NOT PARTICLEBOARD, optional orange or black tolex, and signature woven grille speaker cover, it has the impressive asthetic appeal of the orange amplifier line.

Sound quality is suprisingly sweet for a solid-state amp.  Add a little reverb, dialed in at the first knotch and it creates a sparkle reminiscent of the small Class A valve amps at similar prices (vox ac4 with less boxiness, marshall class 5 etc).  I have the AC4 and Class 5 and I can say IMO that this amp is a worthy contender to them and a welcome addition to any home studio guitar arsenal.

Value:

At this price this amp is next to unbeatable!  Nothing else needs to be said.

Overall:

If you are looking for a great sounding practice amp with more than average features, or in need of an affordable quality tone solution in a home studio set-up this is a good way to go.  I swear by Orange, their production line amps are just that good.

Overall:

This is my 3rd  CR35 purchase. We use these amps for a church band and for practice for our rock band. This amp is a great value for an Orange. It has features such as a tuner and built in effects. Both are handy when you don't want to lug around a pedal board. If you're a beginner guitarist this is a fantastic amp to own. Great sound for a crate amp and easy to set up and use. If you're a vet guitar player this is a great practice amp due to it's size and weight. Don't let the 35 watts make you think weak. It's got plenty of power for it's size. One of the most powerfull 35 watt amps I've played. Orange does it right when they do amps.

My Church Workhorse

| Review By: Joshua West | 4 months, 6 days ago

Features:

This thing has everything you need in a small gigging amp. Tuner for quick checks between songs. Different effects to add to the sound. And of course, the Orange sound.

Quality:

I actually held off rating this amp for a few weeks to see how it did at my church where I use it during worship.  It has met my expectations and everyone in our worship group loved the sound and the famous orange color. It is great for the small hall at my church and for around home. This is not my first Orange amp and will not be my last.

Value:

Orange has been around for a long time and have a good history. For me they are perfect for classic rock and blues which are my favorite styles, but I can also get that hard crunch for the loud stuff.

Overall:

I think you would be happy with this amp. Classic tone and well built. This baby is a work-horse.

Great Bang for the Buck!!!

Features:

Love the basic features of the CR35LDX 35W 1x10 Guitar Combo. Don't care too much for the modeling part. I just put on a basic reverb and it sounded great. Great tone! Good breakup on the gain. A bit more for rockers, if you want warm clean tone try a different amp. It's also pretty loud. I'm use to tube amps so I was afraid it wasn't going to compare, but it kept up with my '72 Super Reverb just fine. It would probably have to be miked at a gig, but I'm good with that.

Quality:

Seems pretty sturdy and well made. No problems with mine as of yet. I had it pretty loud and the speaker worked great. Played well with both single coil and humbucker pickups. My SG sounded great thru it.

Value:

If you're like me and can't afford a tube Orange Amp this is the way to go. It's got great tone and crunch and is pretty loud for only 35 watts.

Overall:

Great little amp to add to my rig and studio. Great amp for the price. Someday I'll get a tube Orange amp but until then this will do.

Great sound destroyed by poor build quality.

Features:

Has some good basic effects, simple and effective controls, and an easy to use footswitch for overdrive.  Would have been nice if they let you use the dual switch for effects as well.

Quality:

Clicks and pops, humm and fuzz when there should be relative silence.  Sounds like something is building up, overloading, and popping every two seconds.  This doesn't inspire confidence that this would be the last practice amp I buy(which was the idea behind going with a premium brand like Orange).

Value:

Very loud for 35 watts, again this catagory is hurt by the poor build quality.  It would be a 10 if I knew I wasn't in for a long haul of exchanges and replacements.  Time is money, and this thing is going to cost me time and effort otherwise used to become a better musician.

Overall:

The fact that this amplifier produces incredible tone on both overdrive and clean channels can't save it from the shoddy construction and design.  After hearing the great tone I was really looking forward to my first small studio sessions with what I thought would be the last practice amplifier I would ever want or need.  Not looking forward at all to the process of returns and repairs on what should have been a premium product from a premium brand.  The best musical equipment just gets out of the way and lets you express what you want through sound.  The easier a product makes that goal, the better it is.  Hence, it is hard to have a favorable view of an amplifier that left me so distracted and annoyed.
