OVERVIEW

Read 'em and weep.

Dead Man's Hand gives you wide array of gritty, overdriven tones, and is at home across multiple genres. The pedal's two distinct overdrive modes let you choose your overdrive's flavor: EIGHTS Mode gives you that famously warm and creamy "screamer" sound, and pushes your favorite tube amp to the sweet spot. Great for single-coil pickups. ACES Mode delivers a hotter, thicker tone with added sustain, best paired with humbuckers.
Featuring True Bypass switching, Dead Man's Hand offers up a wide range of overdrive tones while preserving the overall feel and character of your setup.

Outlaw Effects are a compact and sensible line of guitar and bass effects pedals. They are slim and low profile, and take up very little room on a pedal board. True bypass switching, a rugged chassis, low noise and affordability are the hallmarks of the Outlaw Effects line. Saddle up, partner, there's a new sheriff in tone.

Comments about Outlaw Effects Dead Man's Hand Guitar Overdrive Pedal:

I have a Wampler Paisley OD and I can't say this pedal is equal in overall sound and quality. But for under fifty this is an excellent, versatile overdrive pedal for rock, blues and country as it gives fairly smooth to gritty overdrive effects. My only hesitation is the quality as it is made in China and the first one I ordered I had to send back because the switch made a loud noise when kicking in the overdrive. The replacement pedal did not so this so I must have received a bad one at first.

Comments about Outlaw Effects Dead Man's Hand Guitar Overdrive Pedal:

I just got this pedal in the mail today, and I have been fooling around with it for a couple hours. I have owned many overdrives in the past, but I have never been shocked by one like this! I was hoping I wouldn't regret my purchase when I picked it up from the post office, and I certainly don't. Right now I have it paired with a Boss OS-2 running through a Marshall MG30DFX (yes, a solid state), playing a Les Paul with two humbuckers. This pedal sounds amazing! Using it for everything from a clean volume boost, to a boost with a little break up, to a lead rhythm, to a solo lead high-gain, it does everything! It says that Aces are prefered for humbuckers, while Eights for single coil. I would agree with this, but I would go further to say don't limit yourself to those. The Aces sounds amazing as a rhythm and a bluesy kind of break up, with less gain compared to the Eights. The Eights gives you a nice trebly higher-gain lead type overdrive, while still able to tone it down for some nice break up. My only complaint is that the Eights is so much quieter than the Aces that I can't just switch between the two without adjusting the volume. Oh well, this is still the best OD I've seen for this price! You won't be disappointed.

Purchsased from MF in Sept. Good overdrive pedal for the money.
Only wish it came with 9volt battery supply. Also bear in mind AC
power adapter is sold seperately. Happy with the purchase!
