Modern, in-your-face tone.
Handmade in Stevensville, Maryland, the PRS 2 Channel "H" guitar combo amplifier is set up with independent master volume, treble, mid, bass, and gain controls with global reverb. The unique lead channel offers powerful, smooth distortion with liquid sustain, while the clean channel has shimmering, clean highs and extensive headroom but can be overdriven at maximum settings. An effects loop with adjustable send and return is also featured on this fixed bias amp. The "H's" two 6L6 power tubes produce a fast, articulate amplifier well-suited for today's modern music where alternate tunings are a must.
"These amps are an exciting foray into newer design, tone, and feature territories. My love for single channel amps guided this project from start to finish as I wanted to avoid some of the inherent compromises associated with some switchers. I worked hard on allowing each channel to stand on its own short of building two separate amps in one box and kept it as simple and intuitive to use as possible. I personally find it very addictive and great fun to play." — Doug Sewell, PRS Amp Designer.

Comments about PRS 50W 1x12 2 Channel "H" Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I own two of these identical amps. One for the home practice studio and one for perfoemances. I wanted to make sure that I could replicate perfectly what I did in the home on stage, and quite frankly did not want to lug about the amp back and forth. So I keep one at home, and one at the studio. I tried many different amps over the last few years and the way the channels are seperated is an insanely great feature. The fixed bias give me virtually no hums or noise. What I love about this amp, any PRS stuff for that matter, is the incredible level of perfection. The knobs are smooth, very precise, almost like a scientific instrument. I haven't used this with any guitars other than my PRS guitars, but I can say it sounds absolutely amazing at higher volumes. The real characteristics and personality of the amp come out at about half way or higher in it's volume. It's a bit heavy, but that's because it is well built. If the weight is an issue just get two like I did.
Not a lot of frills, just a perfect amp that is easy to use. The level adjustments on the FX Loop are a great addition and I am surprised that they were included in such a price.
Very High quality components for the money.
Generally speaking PRS today is what Les Paul was in it's beginning years. Attention to the details is amazing.
