Comments about Randall RX Series V2XM 30W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Got this amp in high school, my first amp. I've tried a few since then. Some Peaveys, Fenders, Crates, you name it. None have made me feel like dropping some money and getting rid of this one. You know that harsh, aggressive, biting tone, like you can hear on Bile's "Sex Reflex" album and maybe some stuff like Rammstein? This amp can give you that without needing several thousand bones of heads and cabinets. What I do is switch on the overdrive channel, hit the boost, gain all the way up, all graphic EQ sliders up, and on the EQ knobs, set bass all the way up, mids 1/4 up, and highs 3/4 up. Between the two different EQs, you can get a lot of sounds out of this. Anything from crushing, punishing industrial to dry, frozen black metal, and on the clean channel, twangy country tones or full-yet-bright strumming. My only complaint is that, of course, Randall wouldn't put out one of these with more wattage and something like a 2x15 or 4x10 cab for the same price as this little beast - that's never going to happen, but I can dream. The thing's really easy to carry. Super light, small, has a handle on top. Feels pretty well-constructed. Smooth exterior. I have a feeling the few years I've been using this amp are not going to be the end of my journey with it. It's earned a spot in my little home studio.

    WOW!!

Comments about Randall RX Series V2XM 30W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp because I needed a small amp for mobility and use indoors. The clean chanell is very clear and the bass is very strong. TIP: if using a pedal, wire in through the back and put the overdrive on min with the boost on and the vol 30% and the bass 75%, mid 75% and treble 65%. I have. sounds great esp with the Digitech Grunge pedal. This was a good buy and it still works like new after a year. All my friends love it and it gives me a HUGE amount of power as well. this is for METAl

    Great practice amp

    By Ax King

Comments about Randall RX Series V2XM 30W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I was in the market for a practice amp that could rival the sounds of My Stack. Something that could give me the exact sound, but not be earth shaking loud so that I could play it in my apartment. I saw this amp on Randall's Web Site, but couldn't find it in any local stores. So I bought it online. After a little tweak its the best sounding combo I've ever heard. Out of the box The clean tone It makes is nothing short of spectacular, but its overdrive channel was just a muddy/bassy mess. It didn't matter how I adjusted with the Eq, and Graphic Eq. I just couldn't get a good tone. It was the same with my distortion pedals. Finally a friend told me to remove the rear panel. It was like a night and day difference With the back panel off this thing screams. It can get the exact tone of my Stack, but I can still play it at 2am in my tinny 5th floor apartment.

Comments about Randall RX Series V2XM 30W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Got this amp a few months ago, and I am pretty impressed with it. Been playing for 5 years and was just looking for a cheap lil amp for bedroom use. Love the distortion out of this amp, didnt take me very long to dial in the distortion that I liked, and I like it heavy and nasty. also love the clean channel, man this amp is crystal clear

I just bought this amp like a month ago , and i totally regreted . the graphic eqs are useless for the amp . And never ever use stompboxes for this amp . no matter what stomp box you are using . it will still give the horrible crappy sound . so i'm sticking to my peavy amp
