Huge sound in a small package for an easy price!
Randall set out to deliver a small, lower wattage amp that would retain the tone of much-larger box combos. They shaped the tone circuit to deliver plenty of tight low end and enough sizzle to satisfy a metal monster. Box size was slightly increased to produce a lower resonant frequency, finished out with a heavy duty Celestion speaker. Dual channels with level on the clean and overdrive boost mode. 3-band EQ, master volume, spring reverb, headphone out, and CD input.

Like I said above its loud for such a small amp. They claim that it has the bottem end of a bigger amp....well kind of, it holds its own. It has a good hard rock distortion. If you are playing death you may need a distortion box. True Randall tone. If you need a good bed room practice amp or to learn on ,you can't go wrong here.
This a pretty good amp for the price. The only problems with it are the shared EQ for both channels and the reverb tank is a tad noisy, but other than that it is a good buy.
Man I bought this amp like 2 years ago. When i really started getting into guitar I noticed that this amp can't stay shut!! I could never have the volume over 3 or 4 with out it going crazy loud! I tried using this amp for my bands practicie in my basement....yeah not so great, with all the hissy noises. Oh yea and when I connect the head phones it's even worse. All this is in my opinion ok guys!!
The randall rx20r has evreything you NEED! The overdrive channel has that randall crunch that you wouldnt expect from such a small package. The tone is very versital, in fact the only tone I havent been able to coax out of it is an ac-30 tone but how offten would you really need that? The clean channel can go from a rolland jc-120 to a fender blackface tone and with an experienced tone tweaker, you can even get a good accoustic tone. Great reverb. Very loud for its size. buy this amp!!!!!!!
