    Classic Randall hi-gain with MIDI programmability.

    The Randall V2 Amp Head was developed for the guitarist who likes multiple tone-shaping options. The V2 amplifier head can produce almost any tone you can imagine, using a full tube preamp as well as a classic Randall solid-state preamp. Holding true to hi-gain roots, Randall pushed the boundaries of modern design that has resulted in this original take on hybrid guitar amplification.

    A revolutionary new tube-driven MOSFET power section called "Valve-Dynamic" powers the V2 with so much reaction and feel that you would swear it was a full set of power tubes driving the amp. This 12AT7 driven power circuit not only has the feel, but also an accurate frequency response found only in a full tube power section.

    Master front "Volume" control

    this amp is explosive, lots of power and sustain definitely a metal amp! you just need to run a noise gate ns/2 petal through the Fx loop but make sure to run all input/output jacks through the send and return to make it totally silence. before I did that it was squealing, not any more! i keep the eq tone almost the same as with out it but raise the db a little higher so you can punch it on and have a louder stage level

    I just cannot believe how good this thing is. I got mine and it was broke but....they sent me a new one so about a week later I got it. I plugged it in and went straight for the high gain so I was thinking nothing special then...I hit the eq and WOW!!!!!! It was amazing...I cried it was so beautiful. ALl of my other amps I was using pedals, hah, now I no longer need pedals I just flick it on turn on the eq and ready to SHRED!!!  This amp has all the gain a metal head could ever dream about!  It also features a standby button, which is good cuz this thing has tons of gain and it squeels sometimes even after u cut off your guitar. I only have to turn it up to about 8 or 9 o clock, very low, can't hear my band over it lol. But I can pull off some of the most amazing solos and pinch harmonics, I really don't know how I have lived without this thing for so long. If it were stolen I'd definatly either buy a new one or hunt that person down. Stop reading this review and BUY IT!!     I have owned this head for several months, and I enjoy playing it more everyday. It has a ton of power. Even at low volumes, it really puts out. I would recommend this to any serious player in any style. It can be molded to fit almost any tone you are tryin to get with the onboard graphic EQ.

    This amp is awesome!! It is loud as hell, sounds excellent, the eq section makes all the difference on this head and the density knob is a metal/death players dream. Bottom line is, if your a metal or death metal player then get this amp with a good multi effects or distortion pedal and that's all your ever gonna need even at a professional level. One helpful hint: run this amp through the clean channel!

    I own 2 Amps, a Bogner Uberschall and a Randall V2, both have their matching Cabinets, which on the Randall I prefer the Metal X XL Combo w/ Celestion V30's and G12-75T's X pattern, you get a very scooped mid range heavy push.  While I wouldn't put anything over the Uberschall, the Randall is a beast.  And for the price of my Uberschall Head you can get a V2 and XL Cab w/ the speaker combo I suggested, and get a monster tone.  Be sure to check out the EQ and Parallel FX Loop, slap a noise gate in there, and for a really killer distortion, daisy chain a Boss HM-2 thru the Solid State Channel and you'll get a crazy distortion like Entombed.  The V2 Has a TON of tone shaping capabilities, and sounds quite heavy if you tweak it just right. It's made for metal guitar players.
