Pure aggression with amazing articulation and a wide dynamic range.

Voiced for raw aggression, the Rivera Metal Shaman distortion pedal provides a more overdriven range of textures than its two siblings, the Double Shaman and the Blues Shaman.

Along with controls for Bass, Mid, High, and Gain, the Metal Shaman features a Brutality switch for widening the bottom end and creating a bigger aural picture. The Disintegrate footswitch allows an extra jolt of killer gain boost with expanded harmonics, and the Level control sets the overall output.

A switch-bypassable noise gate with controls for Sensitivity and Release tames noise that can accompany the Metal Shaman's bare-knuckled amounts of overdrive and distortion.

Features

  • Wide range of distorted and overdriven tones
  • Bass, Mid, High, and Gain controls
  • Brutality switch widens the bottom end
  • Bypassable noise gate with Sensitivity and Release controls

Metal distortion at its finest, with loads of control and a built-in noise gate! Order now.

Comments about Rivera Metal Shaman Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

I'm going to go ahead and say that I would recommend this, though I want to stress that I do so with some reserve.

Ok, I play on a Blackstar Series one 1046l6 100 watt with a 4x12. The low end is amazing. This is a metal pedal, right? I find the low end painfully weak, by comparison to the on-board tone. ... on the same amp.

That said, it is clear, with good quality, and gives a wide range of METAL tones - aside from the uber-deep lows. It has a razor sharp edge, even if it lacks body.

One thing I've found that I can do is turn it on along with one of the on-board channels. That gives me a razor edge and a good meaty body and richness that the pedal lacks itself. Certainly it adds versatility to the amp tones.

It is a bit expensive for what it is, in my opinion, but if you have the money to throw around for extra tones, you might find it worth having. I don't plan on getting rid of it, but it hasn't stopped my from using my on-board tone either.
