If you have a pedal array of 4 to 8 effects, you aren't going to find much at this price. But you are paying for what you get. Its not that this is cheap quality, it is more that it is a simple solution with limitations and draw backs. This is all one piece, meaning you unzip the flap and tuck it underneath and you have your pedal board ready to go. Its nice and simple and might actually work for you. But be warned, that the base of the "board" is soft and floppy. It is NOT a solid board! If you do alot of switching on and off or use expression pedals during a song, this is not for you, there is too much give in the material for confident live hard switching. Also, since there is no gap below, all your power and cables have to run along side the pedals, which can get messy. I had a problem where the protective soft lip around the edge of the bag didn't alow me to plug directly in without an L shaped cord. This is also offers minimal protection against the bumps and bangs of equipment that may slam into it during transport.

With all that said. This is a great bag for someone on a budget with 4 to 8 pedals in their set up, that doesn't require much live switching, or isn't traveling on a plane, or "throwing it in the back" with other gear. You will need to provide your own power source for the pedals.

Some day i will graduate to a Pedal Train or something more professional and travel worthy, but for practice and local gigs, you can't beat this price.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

One thing I must have looked over is the fact that this bag comes with velcro for attaching your pedals. If you plan on using this as a pedalboard and carry bag, be prepared to only have room for 5 or 6 pedals max. I have my tuner, distortion, dd20 delay (double wide), acoustic simulator, and mel9 (double wide) all packed in and it fits just right. Great bag for people who can simplify their effects setup...

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

If you are looking at this, you are probably pricing cheap pedalboards. I know because I have been there for a while. I think this is the best 'no board' pedalboard out there right now.

The main competition for this product is the Electro-Harmonix bag. This Road Runner product is better in almost every way. The shape is much better. The EHX bag is long and narrow. Pedals tend to flop the bag left-to-right. Also, the zipper on the EHX bag sux compared to this one. It is hard to use, and the double zipper on this bag is far superior. They both have pretty good Velcro, but I think the RR bag edges it out.

The other competition for this bag is a small bag with an actual board in it. Gator has one. Diago has the Commuter. ModTone has something pretty good. It will be up to you if you HAVE to have a board. I think it is not really necessary. I have been upgrading my pedalboards to ones with actual boards in them. It is nice, for sure, but it is not absolutely necessary if you are on a budget. Maybe if you really use the pedal switches a lot or you want a solid surface to use an expression pedal on, it could be worth it to get a board board.

Mostly, this is the 2nd one of these I bought, and I went back to the RR All-in-one because it is a superior bag. This one will house the pedals that go with my microphone. I won't do any hot switching on the mic, so I figured another one of these bags would suit. The other has been my bass bag for a while. The EHX is getting purged and maybe sold. I have a Diago Commuter for my 'short board' for guitar, and that is excellent, but also a big price upgrade.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

Got it on a sale. Here are the downers:What suppose to be solid (so the pedals would be comfortably pressed) is not so solid. Light (a plus), but not solid. Zippers are cheap, and that's where problems usually start.Ups: LightBottom line:Looks good in the picture, but you have to understand that in order to play on it like in the picture (when it's loaded), you have to put the other part of the pedalboard under the part that holds the pedal, thus making it even less solid. Good for replacement, and to store the pedal you're not taking out. Dust keeper...

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

I bought this to use as a carry bag for my Digitech RP500 multi-effects unit, not to use as a pedal board. It's a perfect fit for that purpose. I think it could work as a sort of floppy pedal board but the way its made you would need to fold the flap back under the case. That would prevent the pedal mounting surface from sitting flat on the floor. If the flap were reversed to unzip and open from the opposite side it seems it would work much better. The quality otherwise seems good for the price. I just put some pedals in it to see what will fit. Looks like you can get a Cry Baby and about 8 Boss sized pedals in there.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

Very nice for general practical use, and portable, convenient. But on the downside I had to make my own support board cut to same size as the the bottom base area and wood screw the bag to the hardboard and the the velcro bottom as the bag was sort of too soft for my applications, I also attached some large rubber feet to the bottom top half to give it more non slip which also gave it more of a forward angle . Otherwise excellent for the price and am happy with it over all :) R

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

From reading the reviews, already knew the bottom base where you mount the pedals would be flimsy. Indeed it is. Plan on cutting a new bottom for it which is more sturdy out of 1/4 plywood or masonite and attach it. You will need to do this, so plan on it. Otherwise, is deep and long enough for a wah and a volume pedal plus two other smaller pedals as well. Is roomy and great for a backup set of effects, as I use it. Just not sure why they didn't put a little more effort and sturdy material into the bottom. Can't quite feel comfortable recommending it because of the bottom. Otherwise, would be great.

Do not buy this item. I returned mine. It has 1/2 inch padding on cardboard on the bottom and will fold in half with pedals in it. The bottom doesn't provide a rigid bottom surface to press switches on your pedals. Not recommended.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

I was completely blown away at how unuseful this pedal board is. First off, there's no 'board'. There's literally nothing solid about it. In order to use it you must fold the other side (with pockets, cables, etc) under the pedal 'board' itself. Since there's nothing rigid under the pedals, it feels like your pedals are sitting on top of a waterbed. Mine didn't stay flat. My volume pedal kept spilling off the side, and my skinny micro pedals kept falling over, even with velcro attached. It feels like you're stepping on your backpack every time you hit a button. Overall, I can't see how someone could gig with this. It is purely for playing in your bedroom.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

I got this for my son a few years ago and it has held up well. The strap makes it easy to carry.

The biggest downside which has been mentioned by others is that when folded over, it gives a springy almost pillow-like base for the pedals. I solved this by cutting a piece of plywood covered with felt as in insert. This greatly improved the situation.

My son stopped using this bag because he became... a PEDAL FIEND !!?!!

I wound up making him a custom pedal board to satisfy his addiction.

This bag has found a great second use. He uses it to transport his microKorg which fits perfectly and the front pouch has enough room to hold the cables and power supply.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

I bought this to carry a Pod XT Live, and it fits it perfectly. I would bet this would hold many of the other multi-effects units from Line 6, Digitech, etc. It will also hold my Roland GR-33 guitar synth with room to spare, so I can use it for either. Should probably get another while they are on sale. I wouldn't use this for individual pedals for the reasons others listed, but it's great for the uses I listed. Just measure what you plan to put in it to make sure it will fit.

The bag when was very difficult to zip up, especially after the bag was opened all the way and the flap is folded under. I tried to use it with some boss pedals and a few others it was to troublesome to zip up. I use it now for podxt live which fits perfect and only to cary to gig .I don't zip it all the way open ,just enough to get the pod out. I would not recommend this bag. Save a little more money and buy a good pedal board or make your own.

I bought this item a few months ago to use with my Digitech RP-1000. Works like a champ but I only use it as a gig bag; not as a pedalboard. There's more than enough room to store all the cables I need and when I'm not using it to tote the RP around I use it as a convenient dust cover. I'm considering getting another one for my Tascam DP-02. Wouldn't use it for individual pedals though.

Comments about Road Runner Pedal Board All-In-1 Gig Bag:

This thing is no good. I bought this to last me until I either bought a better one, or built a custom one since i didn't have the money right now and i needed a pedal board. Really its a glorified gig bag devoid of any real use. As a pedal board this thing is useless. The material is way too soft, thus it doesn't provide any resistance when you try and hit a pedal making the pedal sink into the case rather than be activated. This isn't so bad for stomp boxes, but for wahs that need a little extra force to activate them...well good luck. I know the things cheap, so I should expect it to be cheap, but this is just too much of a let down. Bottom line, either buy a better board or build your own, this thing is NOT worth it at all, not even as an entry level pedal board.
