The Rocktron Banshee Talk Box brings a new twist to an outdated generation of complicated and risky talk boxes. Banshee is unique because it contains an internal preamp, amplifier, and horn driver. You simply plug into your pedalboard and run the provided tubing up the mic stand and into your mouth. There's no risk of blowing up your favorite amp head (a possibility with talk boxes of yore). The rest is up to your imagination as you generate incredible talking tones. A wide range of clean and dirty preamp tones may be dialed in with plenty of saturation for those who desire lots of gain. Not only does the Banshee scream in the talkbox mode, but it also includes an extra jack for hookup with an extension pedal speaker. Plugging a speaker cab into this output turns your pedal board into a perfect practice setup with enough volume to seriously crank it. Includes power supply.

Getting a talkbox after months of drooling over them on YouTube has been fantastic. Using a talkbox is by no means as easy as you would think, but it's quite fun to learn how make your instrument "talk." Overall, I say it is completely worth it and I recommend it to all of you thinking about buying one!
The Banshee I is not missing any key features and works great, though it would be nice to have a way to get a boosted clean (and I mean very clean) tone with the talkbox alone. As it is, the only way to get a really clean tone loud enough to use is to use another pedal before it.
The quality of the Banshee I is fantastic. It feels durable, solid, and works great. I couldn't have expected anything else from one of the most well known talkboxes.
The Banshee I may be a tad expensive for starting musicians, but I say it is quite worth it. It works much better than a "ghetto" talkbox that you could cook up at home. The only minor complaint I have with the talkbox is it could've included a couple things, though they're really not even necessary. For one, it could've included a 1/4" cable in case you needed another to get it in line with other effects. Second, it could've included a smaller tube to put into the one it comes with to help you get used to the feeling of playing with it.v As I said, they're both unnecessary add-ons, but it would've been nice to have them.

i just bought this talk box about a month ago, and as far as the sound, its alright. It can do some cool stuff and is a fun toy but there is one major problem: it's super quiet. I have a pretty expensive P.A and even when the talkbox is turned up all the way for every setting, it is hard to hear it while bass and drums are playing. It also doesn't have many features.Overall, if you want a cool toy, this a good deal, but if you want to play for a large number of people, unless you have a huge P.A, this probably won't do the trick.

It totally ROCKS. Just use a good mike stand and some extra tie wraps for the hose.

In general im happy with it. Like i said, would be happier if the effect went through the amp like other stomp boxes do, but im just picky on my setup. Definitely worth having just to play with.
Very cool, very simple setup. Run this either at the beginning of the chain (just before the guitar) or by itself with a guitar plugged in. Sounds great, BUT the only way to get sound from it recorded is to have the vocal mic LOUD enough to pick it up. Dont be like me and be under the assumption that the effect will be heard through your speaker cab!
Just got it, cant say yet, but i can speak from past experience that Rocktron gear is built very well!
If it broke i would eventually get another one, but what kills the value for me is the fact that it doenst go through the speaker cab, but it still sounds pretty gnarly.

In the past, talkboxs were complicated to integrate into amp setups, often using the output from the guitar amp to drive the unit. Unfortunately, many an amp has been blown due to complications with this antiquated setup. Fortunately, the Rocktron Banshee has it's own built-in amplifier, so it is easily integrated into most pedalboard setups. Additionally, the Banshee has its own gain and level controls, so additional signal processing for the talkbox is not typically necessary. Another plus: a dedicated speaker output turns the Banshee into a 5 watt practice amp when connected to an external speaker. The Rocktron Banshee sets the new standard for the talk box!

This is such a rare effect, but I sure wish I had gotten one a lot sooner. This Banshee works as advertised and is built like a tank.Easy to set up and easy to get those tones that talk boxes are known for.

This is really a very cool effect in that you are not limited to what kind of sounds that you can make with your mouth. I have never heard anything like it and, very easy to use. Built like a tank,appears to be well made and, is just a very cool effect to add to your arsenal. Joe Walsh would be proud.

Amazing. It i got it in about 3 days, and the customer service was also great. Its really cool, and its buit like a tank Panzer. id highly recomend it, its a little pricy, but its worth every penny. And it trips people out when you use it on stage.

Ok, so I went to a Peter Frampton show a while back and listened to him play that black Gibson and talk box. Maybe this isn't the one he uses, but within 30 minutes of recieving this talk box, I could already make clear words, just like Peter. The unit is loud enough to use without a mic for practice, and it is built like a tank! This is an excellent product. I'm not sure if I'll ever gig with it, but it's fun just to sit around the house and play with. If you're thinking about purchasing this product, go ahead, you won't be dissapointed.

This pedal is awesome. I was inspired to get this from watching a Peter Frampton concert on T.V. even though hes not my type of music he still amazing. This Pedal is extremly easy to use and i dont even need to mic it to be louder than my amp (30 watts). My only comlpate comes with the powere adaptor it is very sort and i cant use it with my one spot wich stinks. It was easy to set up it took me all of 5 minutes to be out and talking. Great pedal!
