The tremelo works fine and is fairly versitile. It's kind of wierd because you have to turn the depth knob past 12 o'clock to hear any of the effect, but it's pretty good sounding after that. The wave knob isn't very useful in terms of fine tuning your sound; it's a smooth wave all the way to the left, a pretty choppy wave at 9 o'clock, and anything past there is very choppy and it's all about the same from 11 o'clock to 5 o'clock. The rate knob goes from a slow swell to fast insanity. Over all, it's a good pedal for the price.
I got the analog delay and the tremelo. The analog delay is really a good-sounding pedal. I wish it could do more than 400 ms, but I guess that's to be expected for the price. I wish it self-ocsillated, because that would be sweet. You can actually get some nice repeats when you crank to repeat knob, but you can also get some nice slapback. Overall, it does what it's supposed to and it sounds really good.
These pedals are sturdy- built like the old mxr boxes. They are metal, not plastic. The pedals come with 9 volt batteries inside, which is good if you need it. The pedal board is pretty tough.
These are both good pedals, and they're pretty cheap, too. Be warned that the extension cable for the power supply (1 spot) doesn't work with the actual power supply (Live Wire), so that's kind of a dud. The pedal board is great- sturdy and roomy, without being too big. It has a velcro bottom and comes with velcro tape to stick to the bottom of your pedals so they don't slide around while you're carrying it.

If this package was'nt dicontinued I would definr=etly say buy because it's well worth it.
I really liked the package I got I ordered the tremelo and the analog pedals which are great and the pedal board bag is pretty cool but I had problems with the board bag getting in the way of my foot and the pedals but its still really nice especially for the price man what a deal. The only problem the kit had was that the 9 volt power source did'nt work but that was o.k. because had alot of adapters that I recently bought all in all it worked out great.
The quality of everthing that came with it is top of the line but like I said except the adapter.
The value of everthing is great is should last even with a regular wear.

Comments about Rogue Effects Pedal Pack:
When I added up the pedals on their own without the "deal" it was a lot cheaper. You're paying for the case and the pedal board at a discounted price depending on what pedals you get. The delay and distortion add up to 60. so I'm paying 39 more for the pedal board and power supply. ? is this really a deal? i guess in some what it is.

- AMAZING value

Comments about Rogue Effects Pedal Pack:
Look at everything you're getting for the price. Don't expect to get boutique-quality items. That being said, this is an excellent deal. The pedalboard is what it is. Being a soft bag, it doesn't offer much in the way of sturdy support, but it's roomy and has quality construction. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a compatibility issue with the Live Wire power supply and the One Spot, but they seem to work alright independent of each other.
I chose the compressor and the tremolo pedals. The all-metal construction is a big plus. The tremolo pedal seems to lean more towards a "hard" tremolo sound, but it can still achieve some softer tones. I have owned much more expensive tremolo pedals, and the Rogue stands up fairly well.
The compressor is the first I've owned, so I can't really compare it to any other. I'm not sure how I feel about it. At first I noticed the extra noise that others have mentioned, and it was pretty much unbearable. I found that the main culprit was not in the pedal itself, but in the power supply. When running on battery power, it's nice and quiet. As far as the sound is concerned... Well, I don't really know what it does to my sound, to be honest. Maybe I just haven't played with the knobs enough to find a good setting.
Overall, I would purchase this set again in a heartbeat. Great value!
Pros
- Excellent Sound Quality
- Great value
- Solid construction

Cons

Awesome bang for the buck! I chose the compressor and delay. Both sound great and have very responsive controls for a wide varitey of sound!
Bag is great too!
Only problem, The Live wire power supply's connection pin does not fit correctly into the 1 Spot 5 way adapter causing a bad connection. You really have to push the two together hard and If the connection gets bumped it wont work.
If you read the reviews, EVERYBODY is having this issue. So dont expect it to work haha. I really hope MF includes the correct power supply for future customers
I Contacted MF to see if they can replace the Live Wire adapter with the correct compatabile 1 spot one thats pictured.
Comments about Rogue Effects Pedal Pack:
I don't think this is a regular offering but was offered during the Holidays in the Dec 2011 flyer. Musician;s Friend put together a really Stellar package and I'm happy I was able to get one. The items that were packaged were absolutely first rate, aside from the power supply but get a One Spot and it's a moot point. RoadRunner/Rouge/One Spot all first rate. You might spend more but you won't necessarily get more.
This is a really nice package overall. The effects 'board' is the soft case itself and is a pretty nice feature if your looking for a compact/lightweight set-up. This makes for a very practicle 1 trip from the car with amp/axe/efx. No board inside the case means several pounds which is ALWAYS welcome. It came with a pedalboard/gigbag that can hold up to 8 standard stomp boxes, power supply, power distributor for 4 pedals, pedal jumper cord, and two Rouge pedals of your choice.
The pedalboard gigbag is made by RoadRunner and is a quality bag with HD zippers, HD nylon construction, 5 star stitching throughout, velcro included for attaching the pedals, a shoulder strap,a closed/zippered and a mesh/zippered compartment and a velcro closing handle. There is a generic power supply that will power a single pedal but not the One Spot distributor that came with it (1 point off for that), its a niggling point but there none-the-less.The jumper cable is yeoman quality, the Rouge pedals are really first rate and built like tanks. The Compressor/Sustainer reminds me of the older popular blue one still available. It is well defined in the attack, can give enough compression to hold a note into feedback and give a nice jump in volume from the gain control, seems easy on batteries when used. I have this set up as a clean boost for leads (ok so I kept this pedal for myself). The Delay unit is a real treat, while not super long there is enough time and repeats to make it interesting. The decay of the repeats are easy to listen to and being analog this pedal gives a nice warm tape sort of sound. I was really surprised by just how good this Delay is. The volume lets you adjust the effects level to taste. These Rouge pedals are a real bargin...I have, and have gone through, PLENTY of pedals and these really stand up to just about anything you could name.
Aside from the power supply (I have an unused One Spot that fixed that) this was one of the best buys I've gotten in a long time. The Rouge pedals were worth the cost alone along with the rest this was a first rate package. It would be welcomed by a beginner (it WAS a gift for one) or an old timer (sorry I didn't get a complete package for myself, I did keep the Compressor LOL).
Comments about Rogue Effects Pedal Pack:
After waiting from November to March to receive the effects pack (back-order, out of stock) I was most impressed with the Rogue pedals. The compressor is a really nice pedal. I have never had one and am still learning its possibilities. The distortion pedal sounds mostly like an overdrive pedal. I had an old Fuzz box in the 1960s and was expected something more like that, but I like what I got. The bag is great, but I expect might not last long with regular gig use where pedals are being turned on and off regularly.
Awesome gig bag. Pedals are everything I hoped for. The daisy chain connector would be nice if it worked. The power supply works fine.
The gig bag is really better than I expected. I have not decided whether to us it, but right now it has all my cables. The power supply is limited in power and the daisy change connector does not work.
It was on sale when I ordered it after Black Monday. I had decided too late and ordered to Tuesday, but the price was still great. Extraordinary value. It was worth the wait and worth the failure of the daisy chain power cord.

Great. Very happy wiht the whole thing.
Lots of stuff for the price on this special deal offered on Back Friday 2011. It was on back-order for a while (over a month) but recently got the whole shebang.
I ordered the Delay and the Tremelo. The Delay sounds pretty good, but the tremelo is not as organic (think Fender amp) as I was hoping. I will still use it though as it still add a cool charm.
The bag seems decent. Would it hold up to constant gigging as a Pedalboard? No. But for an infrequent part time gigger like me it's a decent way to keep my peals together, ready to go. I mostly use just guitar and amp miost of the time anyways.
The picture when I ordered it showed a One Spot power supply but the language said Live Wire and that's exactlyy what I got. Since this Live Wire plug doesn't go with the One Spot daisy-chain, not sure what they were thinking, I will buy a One spot separately.
Decent quality, esp. for the price. The effects boxes are metal enclosures, not plastic, so that is good.
The Bag seems sturdy enough to hold pedals and cords etc.
Incredible value. Got two pedasl for the price of one basically, with the other cords, power supply and bag thrown in.
Comments about Rogue Effects Pedal Pack:
This is the foundation of my pedal board. As a beginner/intermediate player, I don't have the money or the need for anything super-sturdy or -fancy, so this package works really well for me.
And, my experience sorting out the power supply issue with MF Customer Service was excellent. Three different phone calls, and they shipped me two different replacement parts while we tried to narrow down the problem. Excellent.
Vintage Compressor
Supposedly it's in the vein of the Ross compressors...I don't know about that but I can say that it does its job. It's only as noisy as your signal going into it. It doesn't do super-squish real well, but it definitely evens out the sound of my Nashville Tele and gives it a distinct sparkle and sustain. The attack knob is nice to have, and it does its job.
Analog Delay
This is a PT2399-based delay (supposedly the same model as the ModTone analog delay and others). It's not truly an analog delay, but did you really expect that for the price? Again, it does its job. It doesn't allow really long or really short repeats, doesn't self-oscillate, and starts to sound pretty weird when you turn the level way up, but I've found that for a basic, atmospheric sort of delay it works pretty well. There is plenty of chatter about this one on YouTube, check it out.
The Bag
This bag is MONEY. If you're not throwing your pedals around the back of a van or anything like that, it is an excellent way to keep all your pedals connected and protected between rehearsals and performances. The bottom is not super rigid, but that's because of the way the top folds underneath. If you have a bunch of stuff in the front pocket, there will be a noticeable bubble under the pedal board and pedals toward the edges will be harder to use. I keep a couple screwdrivers, pliers, extra velcro, and patch cables in there and it seems to be fine with those things (they lay pretty flat). Oh, and it is pretty big, looks like it could hold anywhere from 6 to 12 pedals depending on the size and how good you are at cramming 'em in there.
Power Supply/Daisy Chain
The LiveWire power supply that came with this pack when I bought it was incompatible with the Visual Sound daisy chain. After a lengthy conversation with MF support (they were awesome, by the way) we found that it must be because the power supply only pushes 300mA, while the OneSpot (which the daisy chain is made for) pushes 1700mA. They work pretty well individually, just not together. I recommended to the Customer Service dept. that they start shipping these packs with the OneSpot adapter instead so they might have done that by now. I got one and it works great.
The pedals are metal, with actual true bypass switches.
The components inside are pretty cheap, but hey, it's a $50 pedal.
They eat batteries for breakfast, but that's okay because they give you a power supply and daisy chain with this pack. (Well, kinda.)
The bag is sturdy, comparable to other RoadRunner products in quality of materials and craftsmanship.
THIS DEAL IS UNBEATABLE. Snatch it up. Even if you don't need the bag or the power stuff, just get a couple of these pedals. Give one to your nephew, split the purchase with a friend, whatever...you're getting a decent pedal and a bunch of other stuff for free.

Comments about Rogue Effects Pedal Pack:
Again, couldn't be more pleased. You could spend $300-$400 on 2 pedals and a pedal board with case but WHY???? This is a great set up for a very reasonable price.
Incredible deal and a great way to get your pedal board started. I had a few pedals with no way to transport them. This rounded out by set up with style.
I LOVE the Rogue pedals. Great value for the money. The Road Runner case is great and the One-Spot power supply is fantastic.
Couldn't ask for a better deal. I wish I would have ordered another when they were on sale.
