I needed WAH on a song for a customer, so despite the bad reviews, gave it a try. This Rogue Wah pedal actually sounds better than the old Dunlop CryBaby I had in 1983! It has less internal electronic "swish" or hiss noise than that wonderful old CryBaby. It also doubles as a volume pedal. It even has an adjustable filter, so you can adjust how much WAH you get from the pedal, which is really useful. It did not have any of the crackle or other problems other reveiwers experienced. It does seem to be cheaply made, and for the price what do you expect, so I wouldn't depend on it on the road, and would not stomp on it hard. If you take care of your stuff, and don't throw it around, it will be fine, but it is NOT what I would call 'rugged' by any means. The big surprise is how good it sounds. You can't find a wah for less money, and it actually does a fine job!

Good news = it's low priced! And the tone sweep is adjustable for the wah. The slider cuts down the highs as you go from max to min. The unit comes with an A/C plug, not mentioned in the description. No battery when you go A/C, and the plug happens to be the same size as the standard BOSS pedals.Bad News = Lots of hum when plugged into A/C. Not enough hum to bother a loud rock band, but enough to bother a recording engineer. And, the back end of the wah sweep (lows) is softer in volume than the forward (hi) end of the wah sweep.Other criticism. Meager construction and slippery foot surface.Reccommend using wah for live gigs only, above very soft volume levels, and preferably sitting down since your foot's gonna slip off the thing.

I guess you get what you pay for. I was a little strapped for cash and needed a volume pedal...wrong move. When you have the volume low, it muffles the sound. The pedal does give good volume but the sound quality sucks.
the thing broke ater only one or two months. It crackles whenever you go to press it, even when it wasn't broke. It even cracks on volume. Buy a dunlop or a morley.
I bought this pedal because i'm poor and thought a 2 for 1 deal would be great. Turned out to be a big shaft to my wallet. The sound isn't too bad except for the crackle. This happens because of the switch at the top of your sweep to change effects. In short, if you want to have wah-wah, get the wah-wah pedal. If you want volume, get the volume pedal. If you want both, buy each pedal or save your money for a better pedal.
had this wah/volume pedal for about a year now, and it's still working good. i think an auto-wah pedal would have been a lot better because it gets tiring after using this thing for a while, but for the price, it's nice.
breaks easysounds like crapstiffannoying
I got this today , plugged it into my Fender Deville amp and this pedal completely changes the tone of the amp...it is so "Trebley" and "Crackely" I have to use earplugs.
I just received this pedal and have used it a little. The pedal has a plastic housing & the moving parts are plastic. I'm pretty easy on my pedals, but the plastic bothers me a bit. The sound is actually better than I had expected. I like the adjustment slider that lets me change the amount of character the pedal gives while in wah mode.I've found that I have to depress the footswitch just right to engage/disengage the wah/volume settings. Overall, I like the pedal, but it could have been built a little stronger. For the cost, I can't complain too much, though.
After like 6 months, the pot got all screwed up and it snaps, crackles, and pops. If I wanted that I would've bought a damn box of Rice Krispies. Sounds great until the potentiometer goes out. Can't replace the pot, couldn't clean it.
This pedal makes weird crackling sounds when you press it down, and doesn't really last. Mine broke after 2 weeks, I don't know if I was pressing it down too hard, or bad quality. I think you should just save up for a Cry Baby or a Boss.
This thing doesn't work worth a flip. Cheap construction.
