Great amp!

By Johnsmj

My Blues Cube is incredible in sound and flexibility. The clean channel is fat and punchy, the overdrive very flexible with great sensitivity. I play a Fernandes Strat and a Tom Delonge Squire Strat and they sound absolutely great for blues and rock. I got a great Clapton od blues tone, just like hid "From the Cradle" record Wow !!! I use a Digiverb for reverb, but it is just great without it. You can't go wrong, Roland is amazing in their ability to get a clean fat tube tone! What a value for the money!

Blues Sleeper

Picked up this this little guy and it blew my mind. Right out of the box, this thing exudes quality (btw: US built). Can nail quite a large variety of tones from deep muted jazz to Clapton crunch. Unbelievable tube-like tone from Roland.

Outstanding Value

Read the other reviews for the regular tech stuff. This amp for the money is a GREAT entry level, practice at home small club amp. I played it with a group that included Fender, Mesa, and a Marshall. Slid right in there with some gutsy sustaining leads using a Les Paul.

I love this amp! Best clean channel ever! This a loud 30 watt amp, easy to carry, fun to use, works well with my washburn X-40. 12 inch speaker is excellent, and the cab is well built, very retro. All in all, a very good amp for the money. Thanks Roland.

OUTSTANDING VALUE

By Anonymous

Got this amp to go with my new Les Paul. Took back the Blues Jr. and tried this one. I have lots of effect pedals so do not need reverb, etc. Do not bother to buy a Tube pedal or Distortion pedal with this amp. LOTS of power and great sound for the money. If someone can show me a better amp for the money I'll buy it. Switches between channels with a foot switch cleanly. I LIKE IT!!!

Nice entry level amp.

When I picked up my first guitar, I had zero knowledge about amps and just grabbed a cheapo one I could plug my guitar into. Big mistake! Seems that the guitar that caught my eye was a semi-hollow body jazz style guitar. The itty bitty amp I bought couldn't handle the low end of my sound. After flirting with the idea of just going ahead and diving into an entry tube amp, one of the guys at my local store suggested looking at Roland solid states instead. Thnk God! Now I have an amp that can rattle the windows, not buzz out on the low end, and can produce a number of very different sounds from the same guitar. About the only things I wish it did have would be separate EQ controls for each channel an effects loop and, most missed, a headphone jack. But for the money, I ain't complaining at all!

solid well-made amp with nice tone

By John-FlcB7

Very nice tone for the styles I like to play. Compact, reasonably loud, and Roland has a great reputation for both reliability and customer service. No effects are built into this amp, but I use prefer pedals for that anyway.

Roland BC-30

I own two of these. For the price, you can not go wrong. This amp does not sound like a tube amp -- it sounds like a good tube amp. Very easy to use and I would take one over a Fender Hotrod series any day. Additionally, it can really take a beating... typical Roland gear! Also, 30 watts may make you look elsewhere, but this amp has plenty of power: I perform often on various size stages and this amp is equipped for them all!

Rockin amp

Overdrive leaves a little bit to be desired, and I really wish that Roland would have put a nice spring reverb, but for the price, this a good amp!
