The Roland CUBE-15XL guitar combo amp continues to push the envelope of innovative amp technology and design, just as its CUBE predecessors have done before it. The CUBE 15-XL dishes out 15 watts of power through an 8" high-performance speaker.
The CUBE 15-XL has two channels, Clean and Lead, with three BOSS distortion circuits to choose from including the legendary Metal Zone and the new Extreme. Activate the Power Squeezer to achieve full gain at low volume, and use the aux in to connect your music player and jam along with your favorite tunes.
Five Amps in OneThe CUBE-15XL is small and portable yet delivers big-time tone! In all, five amp types are available for instant selection. The Lead channel provides four aggressive choices: three BOSS distortion circuits—Overdrive, Distortion, Metal Zone—and Roland's newly designed Extreme. Each offers its own unique brand of bite. The Clean channel takes you 180 degrees in the other direction with its pure, transparent tone.
Power Squeeze
Ever wished you could achieve awesome full-volume sound at a lower level? Power Squeezer gives you crushing, full-gain tone even at low volume, letting you experience a dense, overdriven sound without blowing the windows out of your bedroom. Enjoy monster tone at any volume setting, from whisper soft to full blast.
Aux Input, Record Output
You can jam along with your favorite songs by plugging a portable music player into the CUBE-15XL's Auxiliary Input. Conversely, you can use the Record Output to feed your signal directly into an external recorder, shaping your tone with the CUBE-15XL's amp models and EQ. The Record Output can also be used as a headphone out for private practice.

The only bad thing is the lack of features.
The only use that an experienced guitarist can give is only for practice.

Overall i give it a 9 because lack of the foot switch and extra volume.
I give it an 8-10 because the only gripes i have with amp is there isnt a separate volume for the AUX input, and you cant use a foot switch.
The qualtity is fantastic! I've oned this amp for about 3 years now and its with stood quite a bit.
It was knocked down my stair case and it still works like it did when i bought it.
you really get your money out of this amp. it cranks up pretty loud, but you can overload it so it woud be suitabe for small gigs and ive had no trouble playing over drums so its great for a begginer or even a progessional to use. you can run effects through it and it just laps them up its great. its suitable for all generes as well. metal, rock, whatever it gets the job done.

This is my first amp Ive owned. And I love it, I didnt have much money to spend so I chose this and I am glad I did. This is a great little amp is pretty loud. The only thing that would make it better is if it had some other effects. But other than that it is awesome, the built in distortion sounds awesome.

I've had this amp for a couple of weeks now; as a matter of fact, every one of my friends has this amp, and I must say it packs quite a punch! The 15x is a step down from the 20x as it doesn't have any effects, however, the price certainly makes up for it. My friend used this amp to play at one of our gigs; the auditorium was fairly large and had plenty of people, but cranked up at full volume, this amp easily made it to everyone's ears. The equalizer works great, and the lead presets are absolutely phenomenal. I certainly recommend.
