Overview

Sculpt studio-caliber reverbs with the next-generation Strymon BigSky MX reverb workstation.

The Strymon BigSky MX reverb workstation is the next generation of dedicated reverb pedals that allows you to dramatically shape your tone. With powerful tri-core processing, it provides two independent reverb machines at once so you can utilize series, parallel or split signal routing for an incredibly wide and expressive soundscape. The BigSky MX comes loaded with 12 studio-class reverb machines, including seven brand new reverbs and enhanced classic reverbs that have been sonically upgraded. The new convolution engine can play 10-second stereo impulse responses and you get 22 preloaded IRs and the ability to fully edit the responses. With stereo I/O, MIDI I/O and USB-C connectivity, plus an OLED screen, dedicated Infinite/Freeze footswitch and multiple footswitch modes, the BigSky MX gives you an unparalleled level of control and flexibility.

Dual Reverb Engines for Unlimited Possibilities

The Strymon BigSky MX utilizes an 800 MHz tri-core ARM processor to power two completely independent reverb machines at once. You can run the reverbs in series for a dramatic, dense reverb or in parallel for a spacious stereo spread. Split the signal to send different reverbs to separate outputs. The routing options are nearly limitless, allowing you to craft reverbs that have never been heard before. With 12 reverb types and full editing capabilities for each engine, you have an infinite number of textures and spaces to explore.

Twelve Studio-Class Reverb Types with Powerful Upgrades

The BigSky MX comes loaded with seven brand new reverb types and five classic reverb machines that have been sonically upgraded. The new reverbs include Ultraplate, Octosynth, Oil Can, Magnetic Echo, Shimmer and more. Classic reverbs like Hall, Room and Spring have been re-engineered to sound richer and more nuanced than ever before. Every reverb has been meticulously crafted by Strymon's team of DSP engineers to achieve benchmark status for depth, dimension, tone and musicality.

Shape Your Tone with Convolution

The BigSky MX features a new convolution engine that can play 10-second stereo impulse responses, allowing you to capture the sound of real acoustic spaces or classic gear. It comes loaded with 22 IRs including iconic analog reverbs, tape delays and more. You have full editing capabilities to tweak the length, EQ and pre-delay of the IRs. Load your own IRs to incorporate the tone of any space into your sound. Convolution opens up a world of sonic possibilities that you can shape and refine endlessly.

Unparalleled Connectivity and Control

With stereo I/O, MIDI I/O and USB-C connectivity, the BigSky MX seamlessly integrates into any rig. It features an OLED screen that provides vital info at a glance and a dedicated Infinite/Freeze footswitch for sustaining reverbs indefinitely. Multiple footswitch modes give you flexible control options onstage or in the studio. Send program changes via MIDI to recall presets. Connect to your DAW via USB for plugin control and editor software. However you choose to use it, the BigSky MX delivers an unparalleled level of control and flexibility for crafting lush, immersive reverbs.
