I use this cab on top of an ampeg 1X15 with a B-2R head and it sounds awesome. Has a tweeter with 3 settings to push out all the highs and mids with tons of punch! Great deal and is easy to carry. I play against a hard hitting drummer and a Marshall half-stack and it does the job just fine.
I bought this cab a couple of months ago and I am impressed. It has alot of punch and this little tweeter gives you a good clear sound and fidelity.
I compared it with a GK 2x10, and the low end on this one is damn better. You'd think it wouldn't have a solid low end because they're only tens. it will literally shake the stucko off your walls. My only complaint is that the tweeter is a little small, and the highs aren't as loud as lows (most people won't even notice that). Otherwise it has a great funk/slap sound, and handles a low B really well. can't wait to add the Workingman 1x15!
I presently have a Carvin R1000 head with a Mesa Boogie 6-10 cab that is absolutely amazing but I needed something small and compact for home. I'm the bassist for a church worship band and hauling that rig back and forth was getting old. I purchased the SWR Workingman's 2-10T, took it directly to practice and within a few minutes the speakers were blown. The amp was only on vol.2 with low end levels turned down. It was very disappointing, to say the least. I took it back the next day and traded it for the SWR 1-15 hopefully with better luck. At least SWR gives a 5 year warranty.
been through 5 or 6 different cabinets and this one comes out on top. Been wanting a second one. The air it moves acually blows your pant leg. I've used many amps with this(swr 350, ampeg, fender, carvin) and it just sounds better than any cabinet. I've used it by itself in pretty big bars and it just works..can't wait for my 2x10 stack.
For the money, it's incredible. Good mid range punch and clear highs, lacks lows but oh well its a 2x10 what can yeah really expect. It's almost too clear.
I'm using it with a GK-400rb and a JBL 115 cabinet 8 ohms. So this SWR 210 cabinet is also 8 ohms which equals 4 ohms... perfect.OK ready for my critique?Good sound. You can adjust the tweeter to the desired high end. The 2 10" speaker give just enough high end anyway, but it's a cool feature. Here is the disappointment though,The cabinet was damaged when it was delivered to my house and I discovered that it is made with a pressboard cabinet which means it really isn't road worthy. Very dissappointing. I really have to be easy on the handling or it will fall apart. I don't know if I want to keep it because of that.
I had been attracted to the SWR line of bass amplifiers for quite some time, and when I saw that the price was reduced, I just couldn't resist purchasing one. The cabinet arrived promptly and was packed very well. I immediately hooked it up to my SWR 350X head and instantly had that great SWR tone. I would recommend this cabinet highly to anyone who is looking for the best tone at a very affordable price.
it has a good sound. perfect with a 15" combo. particle board cabinet. that's why it's inexpensive. overall happy with the purchase.
