Sweet, vintage-flavored reverb plus a boost that will make your solos shine.
With the Boost R.V.B. Analog Reverb Emulator Pedal, Tech 21 brings a fresh perspective to the standard reverb pedal. By incorporating a clean Boost function — up to 9dB — your solos will jump out with greater dimension. The Boost R.V.B. is designed with tweakable, "lo-fi" analog technology. By manipulating the controls, you can infuse degrees of warmth and life characteristic of vintage reverbs. The circuitry intentionally injects the inherent imperfections of vintage units, which is what makes them so seductive and nostalgic. A single, continuously-variable Time control provides a full sweep of size. The Boost R.V.B. parameters are engineered so that you can explore and custom tailor such reverb styles as spring, plate, and natural room/hall ambiance.

I purchased this unit specifically for my electric but what it does to my acoustic is wonderful. I was playing with some friends and they asked me what I had done to my acoustic - I asked - Why? - they said it sounded so cool. I am very pleased with how it works with the electric (esp the boost - yea) but the bonus for me was what it did for my acoustic.
wow... that was my reaction when i played with it.this reverb pedal is incredible. it is analog not digital giving it a warm sound. but the features this pedal has are awesome. the rumble and tone knobs allow you to add more lower rumble or highs to the reverb.the mix and time turned all the way up gives you a really washed out sound. awesome for ambience. the feedback knob will let you get really ambient wails and sounds... really eerie stuff!! it also is able to boost your volume and make you solos or certain parts really pop out. i think the pedal is amazing. try one out and mess with it. you will find some incredible and warm sounds
The RVB is fantastic. The reverb is versatile and warm. The pedal does not sound digital or suffer from the harshness that some of the other reverb pedals do. The versatility is amazing, you can have overwhelming to perfect light reverb. I have owned several high-end Fender amps like the Vibrolux and the Blues DeVille. This pedal can produce the exact same sound, but with the versatility that those amps cannot provide. You should save up and buy this pedal. You will not be disappointed. If tech 21 produces all of thier pedals with such quality I will be looking to see what other Tech 21 pedals I can get my hands on. I have no affiliation with Tech 21.
I use a simple setup - guitar, tube amp, distortion pedal. My amp does not have reverb, and I wanted a reverb unit that could be setup to give just that little bit of room/hall effect. I bought the Tech 21 Boost RVB, and I am so glad after a month of using it. The result is a very tweakable beautiful reverb that does not take away from my simple but awesome tube amp tone. And the included boost feature is so handy. I can't say that about some of the other reverb pedals out there. What a great product. Great job Tech 21.
After trying all the "popular" reverbs I was pretty depressed. They all sounded plasticly and weak. This unit produces rich sweet verb galore. I almost hate to play without it because it adds a lot of fullness and warmth to your sound. For the dollar nothing else comes close.
I have been having trouble with running effects though my Mesa Triple Rectifier because it has a parallel loop vice serial. I have purchased and returned many items. FINALLY, I got ahold of this thing. I could not be happier. The mix control is perfect for parallel loops in order to keep the unwanted noise out. This is very versatile and sounds phenomial. I love the Level control to ensure no drop in volume. I actually have it a little higher as a boost for solos. This is highly recommended. Great job Tech 21!! And American Made...If your thinking abtout a reverb pedal, you can't go wrong with this one.
This is the best reverb pedal I've ever used ! I've been playing for 40+ years & have tried/owned them all. It sounds as good as my vintage fender reverb tank. The boost kicks in if you dial the level control past the "boost" point on the pedal (about 2:oclock) before that it acts as a volume control. I've owned a lot of Tech 21 pedals, I think they really hit the mark with this one!
This is a wicked reverb pedal. It sounds great and is an essential part of my sound.
I play guitar in a ska and reggae band and use it for big, crashy reverb hits in the dubby sections and a few solos. The Boost and Trails functions are essential and super useful. Ironically, mine has just died (!!), but I have been gigging it weekly for the last six years and it's taken a pounding. I will happily buy a new one because it looks like the Trails function has been upgraded and the black/gold colour scheme is cooler.
Upon opening the overly fancy (and most likely expensive) Tech 21 box, I was a bit disappointed in it's light weight. The chassis is metal but very thin and light, not heavy and tough like mxr. The battery compartment cover is plastic and has a sloppy fit. However, all the pots fell as if they are high quality and the foot switch has a different feel than one might expect, not bad or cheap, but different. It is a very quiet pedal and seems to have more 'verb options than I could have imagined. This pedal is a little pricey for it's questionable chassis, but sounds great once you learn how to use it. Only time will tell if it can stand up to rugged road use.
