I picked this up with a giftcard after using a previous Korg bass amp simulator. It's nice and compact, so it fit into my pedalboard with very little re-arranging. It also has a low profile, so not much to worry about accidentally changing settings during a show.Construction is decent. It's plastic through, so I'm not expecting this to last forever, which I'm ok with. Overall it feels sturdy though, which I was surprised about, given that it lacks the metal components other floorboards have.I dropped this into my signal chain as a way to further refine my sound, and it sounded pretty muddy right away, and I wasn't a fan of the presets. But here's the beauty...in the 2 minutes between songs (literally 2 minutes), I had programmed a killer bass tone without adjusting my amp or other pedals. That means it's very easy to use. The band commented on it right away, as it added punch and clarity. There's a little buzz, but this thing was well worth the money.

I purchased this pedal a few months ago and decided to put my input on it, first of all it's all plastic. For being all plastic I'm pretty impressed with the strength. I've stomped, kicked, dropped, slammed and just treated it like i could care less. Yet in the end it help up. I mainly got it for distortion effects considering I'm in a metal/hardcore band and i was expecting something ehh. Come to find out the pedal was half way decent. It took a little getting use to but i would say save your money and buy something you KNOW you'll be happy with. All the effects sound okay. I'm not excited nor upset at this pedal but I'm getting the ME-50B this weekend and I'm sure this pedal will be a backup if anything. In the end, save up and get something better.

this thing is incredible. it gets some tinkering around with to learn all the things about it but once you do you have almost limitless control over what sound is comin outa your amp. yes the expression pedal is sorta small but i can deal with that. overall for the money you drop for this thing your not gonna find a better pedal.

Excellent value!

By VIKING

I've been playing bass for around 6 months and wanted to experiment with some different effects. All I can say is WOW!. Could possibly be the best $ I have ever dropped on an effects pedal. I have played guitar for over 30 years... and some of these effects can easily work with my Les Paul. It is highly configurable, so those looking for an exact sound should be able to achieve it, but the presets are great, making it very much "plug and play" for those with less experience. If you are even mildly considering this pedal, GET IT. You will be shocked at what you get for your money... it was easily worth twice what I paid.

Great....for practice

By Anonymous

I like how my bass sounds. This pedal colors that even when I removed all effects or go to bypass. And behind EVERY effect there is a very terrible buzz and I've checked all my other gear. Maybe it's worth it for entry level practice purposes and as a tuner(which isn't very good though) to see what kind of effects you like, but NEVER perform with. Because of this though, I was turned off to bass effects for a very long time and probably will remain that way.

What a Price

By KaNeesEl

from Detroit, MI

I bought this pedal originally because it had a wah pedal and was WAY cheaper then any plain wah pedal. Turns out the wah on it kinda sucks due to the small size of the pedal. But, I still love the board. I haven't even played around with the writing part of it. There are so many different effects. I can go from a nice clean bright sound to a extremely heavy distort for drop d. It also had a lot of crazy sounds that are fun to play around with w/o the rest of my band. good product.

well...

It`s not bad i just got it and some of the effects sound the same but not bad. And the wah is really small and my foot is huge so that kinda sucks but this is pretty good for the price.

ToneWorks AX5B Bass Modeling Processor

By Yank_teh_bassist

from Vero Beach, Fl

I received this ToneWorks AX5B Bass Modeling Processor last week. I need some tone variations, while staying on a budget. I saw an ad in an older guitar magazine, and decided to give it a go. For the money, this thing is INCREDIBLE. Seriously, a really broad range effects. The wah sounds good, but it is haed to dial in. When you get this, READ THE MANUAL. It is very hard to understand if you don't operate it correctly. The manual is very brief, however. I would have liked to see better quality in construction. Very small, small expression pedal, and all-plastic. I also would have liked to see more distortion effects (there are 6, all soulding really artifical.) I would definetly recommend this to anyone on a budget.

NICE for the PRICE

By Caleb Scott

from Raymore, MO USA

I like its small size and how easy it is to use. The presets are iffy but you can still make up and save your own on it. The distortion effects could be a little less digital sounding but are good. The wah sounds awesome but unlike normal wah. It is still an overall good pedal for anyone.
