Sounds ranging from aggressive high-gain to delicate acoustic
The AX5G's wide range of 16 drive/amp types covers the spectrum from vintage to modern and high-gain to clean. KORG even included rare tube amps as well as sought-after boutique amps, so you can choose from numerous classic amp sounds. Use the 10 cabinet models in conjunction with the drive/amp types and you can select from large four-speaker cabinets to combo-type cabinets while reproducing the ambience that is distinctive to each cabinet. All of the effects you need for live performance are provided, with standard effects such as compressor, wah, delay, reverb, and acoustic simulator, as well as unique effects such as a pickup effect that gives you the sounds of various types of pickups, and a drone effect that simulates the sympathetic strings of a sitar.
Expression pedal provides limitless expressive power
The AX5G has an expression pedal that lets you control an effect in real time using your foot. You can use this to control volume, wah, or nearly any effect parameter such as the gain of an amp model or the speed of a tremolo or flanger, giving you great expressive potential for live performances. A three-color LED indicates the effect (volume, wah, etc.) that is assigned to the expression pedal. I LOVE THIS PEDAL. I only had a little bit of money to spend and i was about to buy a flanger pedal and a new supra distortion pedal. But when i went to my local guitar shop, i noticed this one for less than the price of the two i was going to buy. I tried it out and was a little confused at first but i bought it anyway. I took it home and was playing it for hours. I have a marshall 30 watt amp and i run this pedal through the clean channel. Its awesome. For the money, nothing else can beat it. There are so many effects and i love that you can save up to 40 programs so you dont have to program it everytime i play. I would reccommend this to anyone who wants to save some money on some pedals. This is also a great beginner pedal because you can try out all the effects, without paying so much. BUY IT

I was looking to expand on some of my sounds and being a bit budget-minded, I decided to pick this up. Tone-wise, I find it to be somewhat decent. You are getting some good sounds and tones here and there although I would have wanted a bit more. The effects are good for a little beginner pedal. Having the expression pedal on this unit is an added plus,...but if you have slightly big feet, I would not recommend this for stage usage. Theres only 2 main buttons, Up and Down and thats pretty much it. The effect dialing know is a bit sensitive but it does get to the tone you are wanting (or close to it).If you are on a budget and wanting something good, I do recommend this pedal. It's a great starting unit for the beginner and hey,...you can always upgrade to the AX3000G or even one of the Digitech or Boss units.

If you want to buy a good quality efects unit at a decent price then this is the one to go for. Loads of great sounding effects, easy to use (though the manual isn't great). From heavy distortion and wah to clean chorus and delay, you can't go wrong at this price. Great for gigging or studio. Yes it's made of plastic but it's very sturdy, and good value for money.
I purchased a ToneWorks AX5G, thinking that it'd provide the one thing my Line 6 Duoverb lacked - built in effects. I've owned it now for only a couple of days and from what I've seen it will do just that. And the sound quality (so far) is very pleasing. The quality of contruction seems quite good too despite the fact that it is built largely of plastic. For all that the unit does have one flaw as delivered: An absolutely terrible instruction manual. If this unit's sale price is indicative of poor market acceptance I expect that this is the reason.Worth getting? Yes. Very definitiely. But be prepared to sit scratching your head as you try fiqure out how the thing works.
I love this thing, although the only thing that I dislike about it is that the unit is made solid, but the pedals are made with cheap plastic, other than that, it has alot of possibilities for different effects, it is fairly easy to use, with what seems like endless tone possibilities, I use it through my little Marshall MG10CD Amp, and it does the job, I was actually pretty impressed for the price, if you are looking for a cool, afordable, effects processor to start out with, then this is for you.
This is hands down the best that you can get for the price. I like to play really heavy stuff, like Pantera and Damageplan, but sometimes I like to play softer stuff like The Beatles and this thing can do it all!!! An d with so many effects to choose from, you'll never get bored with it. It can turn your amp into pretty much anything you want, and its so affordable. I recommend it to anyone that wants great sound for a low cost.
I was going to buy a zoom and now I wish I had! The price was right, 39.95 on sale so I bought it. So I'll keep it, but the pedal on this thing crackles and pops, thus the wah/volume pedal is useless, but other than that you can make some pretty cool sounds from this thing. Just not very good quality. I will still buy the zoom and give this one to my son.
I play a lot of stuff like Avenged Sevenfold, Garth Brooks, Dwight Yoakam, and more and this pedal gives me the exact effects that I need! It is the best multi-effects processor I've ever played on! It gives great distortion and wah effects.
I bought this about a couple months ago and it held up pretty good, but its made of cheap plastic. It has alot of pretty good effects, but when you switch channels (or prefixes) it takes a fraction of a second to switch and that messes me up sometimes. Overall it is good for the price. Also I would suggest a Danelectro Fish and Chps EQ pedal, it makes every single effect sound much much better
I bought this pedal about a month ago and love it. It has a wide variety of sounds to choose from. It has some effects that I've never even heard before. You can create your own settings for each effect and store it. The expression pedal is a nice addition also. Take note though, if you try to hook this up through the distortion channel on your amp you will probably get an awful reverberated muddy distortion. It's better to just run it through the clean channel. The only other drawback is that there is quite a bit of volume difference between some settings, but this can be easily adjusted through the various tone settings. Overall this is a great pedal.
This is an incredible pedal. It has all the sounds and models of the expensive AX3000g for a fraction of the price. Almost all the presets sound great and work well instantly. Hidden in its simple format are lots of parameters for each setting that you can easily adjust once you understand how to do it. And...you can set this up as an amp modeler OR as a stomp box modeler with just effects. Plus it has 4 different output settings for 3 different amp types and one for PA, line or headphones. Very cool. Very good!
This unit is all plastic if you have a heavy foot or want to gig with this box, forget it.I want to make it clear I'm not not trashing this box, I just wanted to make it clear what you can do with the hardware. This is perfect for the guy that has a small home studio. the sounds are great I was a very happy camper. I put a boss ch-1 chorus in front of it for the clean patches. This is just a personal preference. These are the only boxes I own and run them through a Traynor YCV80 tube amp. Sounds great.I also have the Korg legacy digital synths software, and that had a lot to do with the purchase of this box.
