PX4 is amazing for its size. I can take it anywhere, runs on Battery or power supply.Output to headphones, mixer, amp, or any stereo. With PX4 I Jam late at night w/headphones walking around the house and it sounds like I'm in concert at the arena, yet everyone else is sound asleep. Now that's cool!
Im very happy with the Px4. I can play whenever I want where ever I want and the features and sound quality are unbelievable. If your thinking about buying one do your self a favor and get it.
I am amazed at the quality of the amp modeling of this little bugger. It is extremely versatile and very easy to use. I record direct-to-digital if at all possible since I live in an apartment and this machine has opened up my musical world to new possibilities. I highly recommend it.
Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just got it and I'm floored by the sound quality, effects, and tricks this thing can pull off!!
the amount of control you have over the effects and modifying the tones makes it the best bang for the buck by a long shot!
This unit has decent sound for as small as it is.We can't expect a ton from it, since there's not much room to cram great effects into this little box! But that said, this is a surprise when you hear it. It comes with a belt clip and if you're really, really good at rotating the wheel, you can change your tones from your hip. All together, this is a decent unit, but the price should probably be around the $150.00 range.People still look at the product size as a factor in price (whether right or wrong) unless you're looking at wedding rings :)
A wonderful tool for recording and live applications! I'm using it with an insert (tip, ring, sleeve) cable as left/right out to the Hi Z of a Presonus digimax. I didn't think it would be clean enough to record and I would always be using it through an amp (PX4). But to my amazement it really sounds great with the right limiting! I haven't used the sampling offered by the device nor the sideman features. But I have customized many programs and written a few new ones with ease. Which for me is more important than being a tech head, that's not to say there isn't always a technical challenge - there is but the controls are easily understood and controlled with one hand. Battery time is generous but purchase the "wall wart". I ran mine with the screen on for close to five hours.
First off, I read very little of the manual and EASILY figured out how to use this great little box! I did read it later to help me figure out all the things this box can do! I have setup some sounds of my own and i am amazed how easily can clear up a sound or "grit" up a sound and make it sound like I want. The PX4 is definately a box that mashes the gas down....way down!
Fantastic effects, superior distortion, amazing cabnet modeling, and very compact!Sounds great for direct recording, you wont need an amp with the PX4.
Excellent for digital recording. I recommend this product for anyone that wants a beautiful direct rhythm sound. Lead is also good as well. Buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am amazed at the selections on it. I have only had it for a few days, so I am still unlocking all of its little secrets. Great Buy, especially if you have a little preamp to spice up the signal. Again, Buy it !!!!!!
I absolutely love my pandora. The tone quality is amazing. nay, perfect. It makes your guitar sound like it's plugged into a marshall tube head and cab on full blast, or like a mic'ed acoustic. You are able to plug your cd player into the aux jack and play along with your favorite tunes. My favorite to play along with is ac/dc live. In customizing tones, you can change the sound of your pick-ups, so i gave my strat the sound of humbuckers, just to get angus's rockin tonen that i love so much. You can also record 32 seconds of yourself playing, playing to a drumbeat of your choice, a bass line, and a cd if you want. All in all, if you want the perfect sound of your dream amps and effects without having to annoy your neighbors for a mile radius, buy the korg toneworks px4 pandora. It really is the best thing $200 will buy.
Great little headphone amp... lots of features. Too many in my opinion. A lot of them are gimmicky or completely useless. The amp and effect sims are good, but forget all the synth and octive crap. Overall, I'd say it's the best you can get... but that's not saying much. Where ya gonna find one better?
Great product, good for traveling and good for practicing. Pick up some headphones and go when you don't have an amp. It is great.
A great tool for practicing by yourself or with a few friends the effects are great for writing music or just playing around but some effects they could do without like the organs and e--l--p but you may like them.
Incredibly good for practicing. Also, makes for a very compact travel rig. Not necessarily a performance tool, but cannot be beat for practice. Built in metronome and drum machine work very well for all kinds of practice.
The PX4 is a very cool personal practice and travel amp. It is absolutely loaded with features - amazingly so for the size, and is everything I was expecting it to be - a headphone amp. I withhold judgement on overall quality until it has been reliable over a period of time. Guitar Tones - They sound fine to me - especially the clean, bassman, and rectify amp emulations. Tone snobs might turn up their noses - and I can't find much use for the synth patches - but if you learn to adjust the pre-sets, you can get a decent sound. I have not run the PX4 into an amp - only headphones, but remember, modeling devices need to be amplified cleanly - so plug into a PA, or powered monitor (or the effect return input on a guitar amp) if you wanna demo the unit.Usability - I stared jamming and selecting patches right out of the box. Editing is not exactly straightforward, but fairly easy. I was able to edit patches on my first use and save them in another position without using the manual. I think the PX4 is a GREAT value - especially if you compare it to what it replaced for me - a Rockman X-100 - which cost about the same and had a much smaller feature set. It might be a little expensive for the starving artist crowd, but it certainly updates the Rockman concept with a superior product.
This cool gadget is nice, I agree with the others, you may have a poor kind of amplification, but it will really sound good as if you were using a marshall cabinet, sounds great too, especially if you are using a seymuor duncan pick-ups it really sounds great, what I want to say is, you gotta buy it if you have that money, it's worth the price.
I love this unit, great for practice, and have used it at church for live work. A little static, but not too noticable. The feedback effects are useless, you can't get it to stop without changing the patch or shutting the unit off??? Overall I think it is great.
This little gizmo is a great piece of equipment. it has great quality and excellent features. The only problem with it tho is that it isn't practical at all when you're performing. Still it's wonderful to play around with and tons of fun!
This is the best box yet. I travel alot and this box is worth every penny I spent on it. I have owned every Pandora box they have put out and you couldn't ask for more in such a little box. Have spent more then 300 hours playing through this box. The best match for this box is the Bose tri-port headphones.
