The Max preamp & dual compressor gives you the FET compression of the 1176, known for adding sustain and fullness to guitar tracks, as well as the optical compression of the LA-2A which provides subtler, warmer compression. You can also engage the classic Dyna Comp circuit for its signature gritty and funky compression. With the ability to stack multiple compressors, you open up a world of tonal possibilities.
Add Legendary Tube Warmth With the 610 Preamp Emulation
In addition to the compressor emulations, the Max preamp & dual compressor provides a full emulation of UA's 610 tube preamp. Engaging the preamp adds rich harmonic detail and warmth, letting you craft tones ranging from subtle enhancement to pushed overdrive.

Connect the Max preamp & dual compressor to your mobile device via USB-C to use the UAFX Control app. The app lets you adjust preamp EQ, set compression ratios beyond the original units, configure footswitches and add a sidechain bass filter for low end control.
