I work for a music store in MN and not to long ago now we got all three visual sounds pedals in for sale. after going through and testing all three with a variety of strats( American Standard, 60's special, Eric Johnson Sig.) a Prs Santana 3 a semihollow schecter an LP and i also gave em a go on my buddys warwick i came to the conclusion that not only are all three effects of extremely high quality but that they are versatile enough to handel a variety of styles of music and types of rigs. that said for my own purposes i only purchased the h20( as a point of reference i had already owned a DD-6 and a EH memeory man not to mention about a million other delays i have tested). its sound is lush and 3d not to mention beautiful the chorus earns its namesake and was much more satisfactory than my mm's single knob controlled chorus the delay was great sounding as well and the short/long control is very helpul for makink sudden time changes on stage. heres where the problems come no tap tempo no stereo output and its shape is pedal board space prohibitive last and biggest complaint most irritiating battery door ever its impossible to open and if you hate as much as me good luck taking it off(just try i dare you) ok all those grievences aside most kicking delay/chorus for the price

I bought this unit because i was looking to get a reverb, delay type effect and i also wanted chorus. So rather then 2 pedals i thought this was it. After reading great reviews i was sure this was my pedal. Without ever playing it i bought it. Lets just say i returned it after 2 hours. No matter if it was in front or thru the effects loop i would engage chorus and it sounded so thin, sucked the tone right out of my amp. and the delay has some awefull sounds to it. I messed with it for over a hour and this is by far the worst pedal i ever owned. If you play clean and like the THIN sound like a fender then its for you. But if you like some thickness to your cleans or gain, go elsewhere.

I like it (and I am picky).

PROS:Chorus is full and lush, ranging from subtle to underwater warble and also does a decent Leslie speaker approximation. Delay is warm and goes from a quick slapback to indefinite echoes. The delay controls act like a tape delay's so it is possible to get some weird and interesting sounds by tweaking them while playing.CONS:Not true bypass (but it doesn't suck much tone really). It would be nice to have stereo outputs. There is a definite EQ increase when either effect is active. The housing is extemely large, so it does take up quite a bit of pedalboard space. You will need to supply AC power as this pedal eats 9 volt batteries for breakfast.OVERALL: this pedal is really good sounding and very versatile.

    Visual Sound H2O Chorus/Delay

This thing is excellent. The chorus on this pedal is both diverse and high-quality. It can make your sound very '70s rock-ish. (think Pink Floyd) The only reason I gave it a 9 on value is because I'm cheap and it was kind of a lot. For two independent effects in one pedal, that is an excellent price though. The echo is also well worth the buy. I play a lot of stuff like U2, Coldplay, and the like. This little diddy will give you many tones just like The Edge of U2. Great piece of equipment.

It is sought by my peers

I got this pedal as a graduation present and it quite frankly blows my mind. The quality of sound that is produced through this device is fantastic. I can't seem to get a good chorus out of it (I could when I used a 9v battery) using off brand power adapters. That may be the case. I will probably have to buy one of visual sound's adapter chains. But nonetheless, some power supply tweakage will not hinder the overall satisfaction of your new tone, thanks to this great pedal.

    worth the price

    By Evensteven-rQndq

I had been interested in the H2O chorus/echo unit for a while. I read good reviews and listened to the the online samples. I replaced a Danecho (echo) and a Voodoo Lab chorus - and the new Visual Sound unit blows them both away. I use it on a pedalboard so powering w/9V was not an issue. From the first chord w/the H2O chorus - I was sold. The echo sounded so much better then the Danecho(which is intended to simulate the old tape echo-Brian Setzer sound) I was surprised to learn it was made in China, however but c'est la vie. The Voodoo Lab pedals are first rate (hand made in Ca) but the chorus (vintage analog) was way "influential" to the tone. ( In other words, not enough sublety.) So on both counts, echo and chorus I was impressed with the H2O after using it for just one gig. Now I'm going to get the Visual Sound Route 66 (replacing my compressor and Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive.) In closing - this H2O pedal is worth the money and I wish I had not waited so long to get one!

    Pretty Good Stuff Here

    By stvnscott

This is a really nifty pedal. Built like a tank. It truly is 2 pedals in 1. The chorus is very transparent and sweet. It is a tad noisy, though. I am comparing it to a TC chorus, so it may not be quite fair. The delay is digital, but sounds warm and bouncy enough to be mistaken for analog. It is one of my favorite delays (at least for the short term). One little note: this thing is brutal on batteries. It will kill a Duracell in 3 hours flat, so you must use an adapter. Overall, this is a very good product.

    Straight 10s

I've owned this pedal two years now. It works extremely well. I've taken it on tour and thrown it around a ton. The chorus lets my guitar sound like a keyboard or as if it was under water. The delay works very well too. I'd recommend it to anyone into experimental music or in need of a good clean tone.

    Unbelievable FX

    By The Tin Man

    from San Clemente, California

This pedal is awesome. It has excellent chorus effects, and the delay/echo feature, when set right, creates an underwater reverb type of a feel that "follows" you while playing lead. When playing chords, the chorus adds an entire new, bright, solid dimension to your music. It is a bit expensive, but I still rated the value as a 9. You get what you pay for, and I recommend this for rock or blues players, even metal players who want to use this in addition to an overdrive for a screamin' clean od/chorus effect which is great for hard rock and metal leads.

    TONE TONE TONE

    By Anonymous

This pedal sounds amazing. It doesn't have the longest delay around or the most extreme chorus, so if you're looking for something with infinite looping or crazy flange type sounds this isn't for you. This pedal is for anyone who wants some truly beautiful "liquid" chorus and delay. great for adding texture and a "spacey" quality to your sound, it's everything i would ever need in a chorus and delay pedal. That isn't too bad when you look at the price of delay pedals and chorus pedals that don't even sound half as good as this one.
