Voodoo Lab

Create the buttery, seductive tones of vintage tube amp tremolo, but with a wider range of control!

Voodoo Lab's Tremolo pedal delivers authentic vintage tube amp tremolo sounds from gentle and warm, to machine gun-style insanity all in a single pedal. By using the same lamp and photocell assembly found in many classic tube amps, Voodoo Lab's Tremolo gives you real analog tone right from a compact 9V stomp box!

By using the inventive Slope control, you can change the shape of the tremolo waveform from traditional to full on stuttering madness and all points in-between. Speed and intensity controls provide a wide range that includes very slow and deep sounds, and the Volume control lets you cut or boost the overall output to your amp.

Features
  • Authentic lamp and photocell tremolo circuit
  • Slope control for waveform tweaking
  • Ultra wide range of Speed and Intensity settings
  • Compact, pedalboard friendly size
  • True bypass switching with LED
  • Runs on a 9V battery
  • Hand built in the U.S.A.

Put this pedal in your cart today to get must-have American rock to British pop tremolo all in one killer stomp box!

Surprisingly versitile, and great for anyone looking for a classic tremolo sound. It's more compact than I expected, and fits well on my pedal board. The controls are easy to adjust, and the volume nob is an added bonus. If you're looking for an affordable tremolo that can give you that Creedence Clearwater "Swamp" sound, or classic Tommy James and The Shondells "Crimson and Clover" ring, (which is what I wanted) I think you'll be very happy with this pedal. If nothing else, I think it's a great tremolo pedal to start with. Good luck and Rock On.

I'm starting to play a few venues where the house equipment is fairly decent, but I miss the tremolo that my Vox AC30 has. I don't use it a lot, but it does add that special something when I do. I'm a pretty harsh judge of what comes out of my amp (Love the AC30 tube amp, hate the Valvetronic digital versions). I'm not a modeling kind of guy, and will take tone over features any day. After much research, I decided to give the Voo Doo Labs a try because I didn't want to spend more, and since this would live in my pedal board and only be used occasionally, I wasn't too concerned about the plastic nuts by the input jacks (if you don't use a pedal board, you should be!).As soon as I turned the effect on, significant tone suck ensued. The tremolo circuitry works fine and the controls have a great deal of throw so you should be able to get the settings you want, however as soon as you engage the tremolo, the overall sound got significantly bassier. It was almost like I rolled half my tone off my guitar. It was that noticeable, and back it goes. Don't go by the reviews, listen to what a real tremolo sounds like before making your choice.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal:

Great sound; addition of the level control lets it match the overall sound exiting the signal chain to the amp. Terrific classic surfy sound, as well as some more 'edgy' classic rock tones. Built like the proverbial tank. 2x thumbs-up

It works better than the Garagetone I tried before it. It will not completely chop your signal if placed in front of the amp distortion but it gets pretty close. The tones are good and vintage sounding.

The tremolo effects and very good, the sound is transparent, but the knobs are too close together making it hard to adjust one without bumping another. Difficult to tweak while playing.

        Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal

        By MusicalRock123

        from Undisclosed

Comments about Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal:

This tremolo pedal is awesome! I wanted a tremolo that was warm and musical like the trem on old blackface amps and the like, and this pedal delivered just that. It is WARM and MUSICAL! It feels like a natural extension of your playing when it is on. Excellent pedal, and top notch build quality from a very respectable name in the guitar industry. Give it a try and I think you will really like it!

        a good pedal

Comments about Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal:

I have used tremolo on fender amps in years past and this does an excellent job of recreating that effect..probably better ..tone in transparent..there is no drain in signal..for those who have issues with noise or pops..try moving it around in your chain..do not put after an overdrive or compression pedal or delay..I put it before these effects..along with chorus pedal..you only use trem as an icing on the cake ....goes for chorus...turn down the volume on the effect also...I run thru a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and use the power there... just a little effect goes along way in context the rest of the bands mix...

        Overpriced, overrated crap

Comments about Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal:

I picked one of these up to A/B with a Boss TR-2 just because I wanted true bypass. What a letdown. Clicking the foot switch to turn the effect on results in a loud pop as does turning the effect off. With the effect on a rhythmic "thumping" noise is apparent, the frequency of which is determined by the speed control. Turning the volume and intensity controls up results in a sound effect that could pass for that of an idling helicopter. This is without any guitar input whatsoever! The tremolo effect itself is horrible, particularly when compared to the TR-2 which has a real smooth and transparent tremolo. Get the Boss pedal, a way better product for less money.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal:

I wanted a tremolo for vintage Duane Eddy sounds and this hits the mark better than any other pedal I've tried. I also use it for Bo Diddley tunes and to add a spooky feeling to arpeggio's. The build quality is excellent. If I have any complaints is that the pedal has a large footprint on the board. Great job Voodoo Labs! I highly recommend this pedal.

        Solid Pedal - Bad Bleedover

        By Paul-h4JAz

        from Charlotte, NC

Comments about Voodoo Lab Tremolo Pedal:

I have been seeking a tremolo pedal for a long time that provides an excellent tremolo sound with NO BLEED THROUGH from the original signal path. If you are searching for the same thing, this pedal is not for you. I have yet to find a pedal that can perform this task. However, this is an excellent product, the controls are very user friendly, the effect works well with the exception of the bleedthrough of sound/signal while the pedal is on. The BEST part about this pedal is the name. Voodoo lab customer service is top knotch. My pedal had an internal issue that crippled its use within the first 4 months. I sent it back to them for repais and received it back within a week fully ready to go. EXCELLENT customer care.
