Comments about Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal/USB Interface:
This is hands down, the best sounding acoustic effects pedal I have ever found. I own the A2 without the pedal, which I don't think you can get anymore but this pedal is the same with an expression pedal added. I have tried acoustic EQ's and pedals costing 3x as much and they didn't hold a candle to this one. All the effects are first rate. I A/B'd the delay, reverb and modulation effects against my Boss, MXR and other top shelf effects and found this actually sounds better through a PA than with stand alone pedals. Very quiet operation. The Guitar simulations were all great. I settled on the Martin D-28. I play a Taylor 816ce with the expression system. Sometimes the mids can be a little harsh with the Taylor expression system. Kind of quacky or nasaly. With the Parametric EQ, the mids can be dialed in to perfection in my Taylor. It's VERY easy to program and the paramaters are all way more than you could ever want. I would have rated this a 10 if I could! Only drawback, is that you MUST use the power supply that is included. Any other power supply will give you a weird static sound and you can't daisy chain the power off of this with any other pedal. Must be powered by its own supply. Small price to pay for such versatility and sound performance!

Comments about Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal/USB Interface:
This could be excellent but it doesn't reach its potential.
The XLR-Out only works on a few systems. It is also very noisy.
The worst part is that there is no true-bypass. When it is selected, the signal still comes through. This is not good for when changing instruments.
That being said, if those 2 issues were fixed then it would be a great unit. The modeling and effects are very good. Can set up some nice patches and do some crazy effects like Tim Reynolds, John Martyn, etc.
Hopefully the next model Zoom makes will be much better than this. The XLR and bypass issue is a real downer for me and kills the product.

Comments about Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal/USB Interface:
I bought this unit to thicken up my acoustic guitar sound and add some basic effects like chorus, tremelo and delay. The product lives up to it's promise in this area. However, the interface takes me back to the 1980's. Anybody remember the Ensoniq Mirage??? Tons of variable parameters and only a simple two digit display and a few small buttons to guide you through the editing process. Making your own presets can be done, it just takes a long time and is fairly frustrating. In this day and age you would think they could have implimented a better user interface. Also, with the interface being what it is and the size of some of the edit buttons, there is no way you could make any edits or adjustments live on stage.
Comments about Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal/USB Interface:
A very good addition for my acoustic guitars! Provides decent guitar simulations and quality effects!
It has enhanced the versatility of my acoustics! Something that was previously only available to my electric guitars. I was however, a little disappointed in the resonator model simulations. I play some slide guitar and own a couple of National Resonator guitars and was expecting some enhancement to their tone. Perhaps a "Tri-cone" model would be nice.
The instructions could be better and I would like to be able to combine some of the effects together with the guitar model simulations. I could find no guidance on settings for use with tube versus non-tube amplifiers, or with Fishman-type pickups I have had installed on my resonator guitars.
I expect that it will become more useful as I learn more about it and I would recommend it to anyone wanting/needing a reasonably-priced acoustic guitar effects pedal!
I've only had this device for a couple of weeks. It has a lot more features than I've been able to get to, and some of them are already beyond my pay-grade! I expect it to do everything I need and more!
Very, sturdy and substantial! All metal! Looks like it can take anything short of abuse!
Costs the same as a comparable Digi-tech multi-effects pedal that I had previously purchased.
Comments about Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal/USB Interface:
very happy with this pedal. however they need to make one an updated one for more than just acoustic guitar. they need banjo fiddle and mandolin presets. i use mine with the banjo and i can tweak it so it sounds pretty darn good. but a little more thought of other instruments would be cool. also not very happy with the tuner. it works ok tho but i prefer my boss tuner pedal and still use it if i can. i wish they would update the pedal and give it a screen like the G2Nu/G2.1Nu. that would be Amazing!!! still a good pedal tho
more effects than i need for an acoustic instrument, very nice to have the options if i want more
heavy duty very road worthy, however must of had something short out cuz it stopped turning on after a month or so. i just called zoom and they repaired it free. been working great ever since.
Comments about Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal/USB Interface:
I got this because my Martin sounded like crap through the PA system at one of the venues I gig at. The modeling is great. I use the Gibson J-45 sound from time to time. It's allowed me to add some cool effects to my music. I take this thing everywhere. I checked out other acoustic effects pedals that are out now and I think this has the best sound. Btw this thing is built like a tank. I've been using this at gigs every week for the past year.
