The features have been pretty well covered in other reviews. This amp may be where the future of amps are headed. Even having owned this for a month I am still dumbfounded that a 6.5" can produce this much sound
I was trawling the amp section of my local guitar store, when I saw this thing sitting a shelf, surrounded by Voxs' , Fenders and Oranges. What is it? I went over to check it out. Ok, it's a cute little 10 watt practice amp, with a kind of sparse, silver metalflake cabinet. It's probably marketed towards woman. Then I picked it up. Heavier than it looked. I checked out the controls: bare bones. Then I saw the price tag. This price for a 10 watt shoebox by a company I'd never heard of? The guys who make this must be nuts. The guitar salesman - a friend of mine - had been watching me check this thing out. He told me to look at the back. Ok. Headphone jack, headphone jack volume knob (that's unusual), Voltage switch, On/off switch for the speaker (that's unusual too), and an external speaker jack. "What's this for?" I asked my friend. "An external cabinet" he answered. I gave him a 'What?' look. "It's 200 watts" he said. "What?".... That's right 200 watts, 10 lbs, seems like it was designed for pedal freaks and loud enough to peel off your wallpaper. Just like I thought, the guys who make this are nuts.
I haven't had this long enough to give it a 10. But so far it has performed very well with no issues.
Well, the holy grail of amps is 'small, light, loud with kick butt sound'. This little gizmo is a giant step in that direction. Will it replace a Marshall stack? No. But it wasn't designed to. For what it is, at least for the present, it is it's only competition

I previously gave this amp a great review; however, I have decreased the rating to a two star since the amp went out on me after 1 1/2 years of light use. The amp was never abused and never played at high volume.
I liked the amp very much while it worked but I feel an amp of this price range should at least last for 5 years with no problem. I have some old Peavy Amp that are 20 years old that still work.
I am really sorry this has happened but I will not buy another one.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
Great sound comes from great equiptment transferred to a great amp which pushes great tone & moves great sounding air. As a professional musician for over 35 years, utilizing various rigs & equiptments including Marshall stacks, my favorite Fenders, Roland, Vox, Ampeg, Peavey,Sunn, Hiwatt, etc. I have been overwhelmingly surprized by the performance & sound of the lunchbox. No it does not push as much air as my beefed up Twin Peavey or Marshall, however it has proved it's worth in small clubs of 300+, & stadiums over 30,000. I place it on a Mic stand at ear level. It can hold its own weight in small venues, at larger venues use a direct box & send it to the house. For the last 2 years it's become my main amplification source. I miss & feel bad for my other amps. I Love them, will never sell them! But the lunchbox sounds so good & is so easy to carry.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
bought this for on the go jam sessions.
it's a little mid range heavy but cuts through nicely. kept up with bass and other guitars with twin reverbs. not the same tube sound as the twin but it doesn't weigh 70lbs either.
put it in a bag with cables and guitar stand and was able to carry the whole rig in one trip from the car--nice!
other guitarist were impressed with the sound coming from such a tiny amp.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
I am a college student studying jazz guitar. This amp is so convenient for travelling; it can go anywhere (especially with the handy, optional gig bag).
This amp is clear and loud enough to hang with the band. It does not have distortion and it does not sound like a meaty 12" speaker. What you do get is a tone that does not fart out, with an emphasis on the mids that helps you cut through a mix. If you need more balls, you could run this amp direct or into an extension cabinet.
This amp is for players that get their drive and effects from their board, or for players that just want the sound of their guitar amplified. With a versatile board and an extension cab, you'd have a very versatile rig ready for any size venue.
For the price, it's really hard to beat and just too cool and convenient to pass up.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
This is a great club amp. Seriously, it'll replace your average 1x12 combo. I used to play a Dr. Z Carmen Ghia. Now I use the Lunchbox, and I haven't looked back. The tone is actually about the same. Okay, maybe it doesn't have the farthest reaches of the tonal spectrum, but it does the job on the gig. I play classic rock/blues/country in small to medium venues, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it on a very large stage miked. For the price of a nice boutique overdrive pedal, you can't get this amp. Get it. ONE CAVEAT: PUT IT ON THE FLOOR! It needs to be grounded for its full tonal spectrum.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
I got this amp to take with me to college. I wanted something small and portable, but loud enough to take to a jam session and clean enough to play jazz. This is basically the perfect travel amp for anyone that uses a clean tone or pedals.
If you leave the amp on the floor, the bass is surprisingly nice. You won't get the same thump of a 12", but this amp has the right response for playing with a band; the midrange just cuts right through and the low end doesn't muddy up.
The ambience control is also a really cool idea- it adds a nice airy touch when used tastefully.
All in all, I can't think of a better amp for travel or for this price. If you need loud, clean power in a super portable package, this is the real deal and it's a cool step forward in the world of guitar amplifiers. I hope companies continue to fuel this kind of progress.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
I love this amp it does exactly what I need it to do. It's a dry, simple amp. I'm running Amplitube as my effects so I needed something that wasn't going to change any of the tone of my amp emulators and this does the trick. I made a 10" cabinet with an Eminence Ragin Cajun Speaker and I cut through every night I play (and my band is loud). It's a 6.5" speaker what do you guys expect that's just not enough surface area to have a fat powerful sound. Use the amp as a head plug it into a cabinet and the inboard speaker acts as a tweeter it handles all the highs and mids while your cabinet adds warmth and thickness.
Bottom line I'm getting ready to by another one and run a 2x12 parallel cabinet with 2 of these powering it. I'll have all the power and tone that I'll ever need at 1/2-3/4 less of the weight and hassel of conventional amps!
Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
the lunchbox is plenty loud great for practice and some small gigs.. this amp is great for some clean, fuzz, or light distortion but not for metal or heavy distortion it just sounds messy. i use an rp 300 and sounds good but not great there is a clear lack of tone if i put some bass it sounds too muddy if i put treble its too twangy i am never really satisfied and always tweaking it for every song. This little monster sounds great up to maybe 1/2 or 2/3 of the way if you want to turn it up anything past that forget about playing clean which is my main problem because some of the songs i play go from clean to distornion in just a click and i cant get the desired effect.
pretty basic features volume, gain, tone and ambience which you can barely hear the difference
its sturdy feels heavy (for its size) but the grill on mine is loose and doesnt seem to fit tight
this is a great deal for what you get
Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
All I want is a small, LOUD amp to monitor my guitar while onstage. I get my guitar tone from my effects pedal, which runs directly to the PA board, so I'm not too terribly picky about what my guitar actually sounds like onstage - I KNOW it sounds good out front. But I DO need to be able to hear my guitar, and so does the rest of the band. Unfortunately, any time I went to a clean tone, the TZ Lunchbox amp was inaudible. Nobody in the band, myself included (and I had it right in front of me, pointed right at my head) could hear it. I had to give up on it after the first set (our quietest) and go back to my big old heavy full sized amp.
Maybe if you play quiet folk, jazz or background music all night long, this amp will work for you. Maybe if you play full-gain, balls-to-the-walls metal all night long and can point this puppy right at your ear, it'd work for that, too - it DOES get loud if you turn both the volume and gain ALL the way up. But I play a wide variety of styles - some acoustic, some mellow, some heavy... and even when turned up as loud as I could get it (without distortion), it simply wasn't loud enough to be heard onstage.
That said, I doubt anyone would want to actually use the sound coming out of this amp as their main tone - a six-inch speaker STILL sounds exactly like a six-inch speaker. But in certain circumstances, this could be used as a perfectly acceptable stage monitor; unfortunately, not in MY circumstances.
Limited but useful flexibility in tone
For what it is, it's great.
Not bad for the bucks.
Comments about ZT Lunchbox 200W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:
I bought this on a whim based on some of the reviews I have read. I've had it now for a few weeks and I have to tell you, this little thing holds it's own. I brought it to band practice the other day using it with my Boss ME-70. The Lunchbox had no problem keeping up with the other guitar, bass & drums, and the band can get loud. The sound was great also. Since I am getting older, the size and weight along with the quality is a godsend. I don't have to lug around my Fender or Egnator to practice. Also, I hook the unit up to my Egnator Rebel extention cabinet at home nd the sound was even better! This could be used at a gig.............
I recommend this amp to anyone looking at a compact unit with big sound!!!!
