This bass hits below the belt.
With its shiny black body and parts, Aria SB-CB electric bass guitar was developed after their timeless SB-1000 super-bass. The ARIAPROII original circuit and the neck-through construction deliver the unmatched tone and heavy bass attack.
The Aria bass is black with black hardware. The top is crafted from ash, with a maple and walnut 5-ply neck. The ebony fingerboard features 24 frets and a classic treble-side cutaway for upper-register bass notes. Its neck-through design and smooth-heel construction makes this bass quite ergonomic. The fingerboard inlays feature the original eye design featured on the Aria basses of old.
The electronics consist of an MB-2E dual-coil pickup. The 6-position rotary control switch adds extra EQ leverage, giving you a nice array of tones from bright pops to deep, almost dub-like lows. This feature can also be disengaged to provide a balanced signal from the pickup, to give an '80s pop tone.
The Aria SB-CB bass's original neck-through body is made by expert craftsmen using traditional guitar-building techniques. The Heel-less cutaway allows smooth and easy access to even the highest frets.

This bass is awesome! It looks cool and sounds even better. I play alot of Metal, as well as a wide variety of other styles, and no matter what style of music you play, this bass can pull it off. And with active pickups, a mode selector switch and a bypass switch, you can get just about any tone you want. The LED battery light is pretty cool too. I've been a big fan of Aria and Aria Pro II basses for years and if you're a big Cliff Burton fan like I am, this is basically a reissue of the bass that helped make Metallica famous in the '80s. It's not the lowest price, but I've learned over the years with guitars that you get what you pay for. Trust me, this bass is worth every penny. If you want a bass with a wide range of tones, a fast neck with easy access to all the frets and a killer look and sound, buy this one and you won't regret it!
This version of the SB-1000 is much lighter than the original version from the 80's which was much heavier. The active preamp in the bass provides tones that range from thick PBass type tones to brighter more punchy almost funk sounds. This bass is actually excellent for slap and pop guys, as well as traditional funger players. The cutaway is plenty deep enough to provide access to all the upper notes with ease, making that chromatic "for whom the bell tolls" run super easy if that's your sort of thing. Although the price is a little high, the bass is definitely worth it, as it's a high quality monster of an instrument.
