I had the old AJ250, and it was OK, but I dropped it and it was never the same. I sold it and was without a Acoustic for a while. When I got this BJ350 I was very happy with it. The Baggs pickup is much better than the Fishman. Also, the one shown in the picture is the old model Baggs. The new one is also an upgrade. Very easy to play, good sound, and the "monitor" sound hole is awesome. It looks like they were concerned with balance as the battery compartment for the Baggs is in the tailpiece of the guitar, and it makes for easy access. Great thump!

I bought this bass thinking I would use it once in a while for acoustic jams, but it's become my main bass since I bought it. It's a pleasure just to sit around and play with the radio and not have to have an amp.

I'd Take This Over An Electric ANYDAY

Played this bass in the store the other day. Ended up buying it two hours later. This thing RESONATES! It has a very deep, sweet, crisp sound (especially after I put on phosphor bronze strings), and it is LOUD! I didn't know acoustic basses could produce this much sound. The solo series "monitor" sound hole is a nice feature--really makes the playing experience more enjoyable. The action is incredible--I could play it with one hand if I wanted to. Plugged in, this bass is hands down the best I've ever heard. Up until I played this one, I was never impressed with acoustic basses, so I was shopping for an electric bass. But when I picked up this one, I was so impressed I bought it instead of the american fretless j-bass.
