Looks and sounds nice

Features:

Neck heavy, so it didn't turn out to be a good choice for my son, who cares a lot about the balance.  It's got very good tone, and the action is good.  Prefer a bolt-on neck, so getting a Squier Jaguar instead.

I purchased this bass in trans black back in December and was so pleased with it that i ordered one in trans red this week and i received it today and couldn't be happier, the picture doesn't do it justice it is a lot better looking than the picture shows, however i do recommend that you go ahead and order new strings and strap locks other than that it is perfect!!!

This is a great bass with a couple of tweaks. Spend $50.00 bucks (or do it yourself) Switch out the junk pots with CTS 1MGs in the volumes and a 250k in the tone, put in a good cap (I used an orange drop) replace the plastic nut with graphite or bone and do a set up. This Bass comes alive! Sounds as good or better as the GIBSON version for hundreds less and holds its own against many other Basses that are three tinmes the price. Great neck, smooth frets and easy to adjust to you style of playing! This is a Great Bass!

Have had this bass a while.  I am new to the world, but enjoy buying basses that get good reviews.  I have the AXL and Gretsch along with an OLP Stingray.  I hated this bass initially.  The strings were a bit high and I struggled to get sound after this.  But, now that I am getting just a bit better at this, suddenly all the reviews from experienced players are making sense. I am enjoying this as my main practice bass as I learn how difficult it is to be proficient.  Drums came easy, this is not.  I highly recommend this bass for those that like a very versatile bass that sounds good through an acoustic mini stack of a vintage Ampeg SVT set up.
